Miribeau, my god why do you post? Everything you post is so unbelievably worthless. A couple months ago, it felt like people were pissed. Now, it's just complete apathy.

If you're not interested in what I have to say, you don't have to read it and I certainly wouldn't mind, or even know the difference. I read most of what you post and don't feel the need to complain when it isn't to my liking, but we are clearly very different, so you may want to explore the ignore feature and consider adding me to your list, to make it easier for you to avoid me.

The boards have lost their luster since the shills and sock accounts have taken over. I can barely find energy to reply here anymore.

With respect, that word doesn't mean what you think it means. A shill is not someone who appreciates a product or company, it is someone who falsely elevates and advertises, even advocating for, a product or company, for the purpose of deceiving others.

[Show spoiler]
I genuinely like what DF has put out so far and appreciate the efforts DD is making to put out quality releases. I adore Code Red, which is how I ended up adoring Scorpion, because Walt split off and founded it. Any company that puts out films I appreciate and takes the time to at least try to get it right is a company I will appreciate. I enjoy the VS releases of films I actually want so very much that I go out of my way to find others who will go in on purchases so that I can afford to continue buying the slip editions that are more important to me, while passing on some and going for BF savings on non-slip editions. I use the same effort to go in on Code Red purchases from multiple outlets, Scorpion releases, big bulk orders from Amazon UK, the annual Arrow UK sale, and, now, at Dark Force. None of that appreciation or effort to be able to afford releases on my income makes me a shill.

Perhaps if you used the term correctly, it would have more meaning and might sway the opinions of others, possibly even me. For now, when you say shill, because you say it so often and you say it about anyone who's not unhappy, when you think they should be, it just seems like you have a compulsion to apply this pejorative to any passing satisfied customer.

When the SoaWN bundles took many, many hours to sell, on the second round, I was able to take a long nap, come back to check later and see that they still had a bunch of copies up for sale. Still, I found people simultaneously complaining that the film sold out in minutes, on this board, while copies were just sitting there not being purchased. They were unhappy. I wasn't. I got called a shill. If the term continues being used in this fashion, it really will lose all meaning. For me, at this point, whenever anyone uses it, I just assume they mean a person who isn't generally negative about everything, but tries to see the best.

Wasn't last weekend a MONSTER 3-DAY WEEKEND or something?

Yeah, the store wasn't open then either.

Can you PLEASE give an exact time when the store will be open? Some of us here have jobs and a life and don't have the time(or a smart phone) to play these games of constantly checking to see if the website is open for business. At the least, it'd be great to know what exact time I'll be unable to buy SOAWN for the 3rd time.

That was pretty messed up of Demon to announce a HUGE presisdents day sale, and not come through, and then announce two days in a row that the opening of the shop is imminent, and then failing to produce AGAIN.

Think about your fans Demon, they deserve an apology, many people probably wasted precious time refreshing your page, think about it YOU MONSTER, someone's kid was neglected because their parent was stuck waiting for the store to open

If you're talking about me, I'm not. We don't all know each other personally so the whole getting upset over people you don't know thing is nonsense to me. I've just realized that I genuinely can't tell which people might actually be shilling anymore because everyone throws that word around so much, and I mean that for all labels and releases. How am I supposed to know who to trust, other than label heads, if any satisfied customer is constantly labeled as a shill? If there are actual shills, I don't want to end up relying on false information. So, it would be nice to have that word reserved for people you genuinely believe to be shills, not just people who had a better shopping experience than you did.

First, funny. Second, he seemed to genuinely believe he was going to be opening the store. Apparently he had to wait for Ben to deliver cases of SoaWN. When that didn't happen, we all got to witness the Monster-Egg on Demon-Face Extravaganza, which I'm fairly certain he didn't like. He clearly didn't mean for any of that to happen. Even funnier was when he finally posted that he'd gotten those boxes from Ben.... There was an air of "finally" to it but, out of respect, he wasn't saying it. With Bill having to deal with this horrible health crisis, I'm stunned that either one of them is even able to focus on business. I imagine Bill calling Ben to say, "get those boxes down here" and I think, I wouldn't bother. I'd be watching Morse and crying. He's a hard working man.

I put my computer on sleep so I wouldn't have to wait 10 minutes for it to turn back on; My electric bill is going to be higher next month. Got up about 3 times overnight to check. Is this the way he plans on selling the next 2 titles? He's probably sitting back, reading all this and laughing. Seriously, WTF?

He's sleeping. It's 6:30 in California....

But I'm laughing. I can't believe anyone would sit up and refresh. The bundles will take half a day to sell out. If you want SoaWN, just buy a Christmas (or whatever winter holiday you celebrate) present, or, dare I say, a Birthday present for anyone you know who might like the second film.

As for the next two DF releases, if enough people ask, I bet we can convince him to do a bundle pre-order. I'm aiming for all three, combined releases, for the next couple of months, with MMI, LV/FE and Blackout for 65. Bill might not go for it but a girl can dream.

Watched a double feature last night, SWOAN and Mausoleum.

Mausoleum definitely had better pacing, though I liked the plot and setting of SWOAN better.

The song that plays over the credits (and menu) of SWOAN is great. Technically a very nice transfer as well.

I'm with mja345. I have no idea what you're trying to accomplish with all of these long-winded posts. Look at that wall of text under the spoiler tag. How on earth do you have so much time to spend doing this? Between this thread and the Code Red thread, you've posted seventeen times over the last two days. Why? For your sake and the sake of everyone else on here, I'm asking you to please find a different hobby. Or just take a week off from posting. Just please stop carpet bombing this thread.

I'm a long-winded person and I type exceptionally fast. I am sorry for that, here, but it helps in the rest of my life. Most of the time, I'm not online and I don't post here. Right now, to your issue of "why", Bill has been reading all of these messages from people who seem to genuinely not care about him as a human being, including some really terrible comments. If he comes to believe that this type of selfishness is pervasive in his customer base, it could hurt him and his medical progress but, also, he may decide to quit the business. If he knows there are people who really do care about him and appreciate all that he's accomplished and the positive impact he's had in their lives, people who don't hate him because of one bungled blu-ray debut, that could help him. That's why I've been posting more since he had that horrible fall. I hope that explains what I'm trying to accomplish. Given the behaviour of some on the boards, I wouldn't be here reading all of it, while this is going on, if I didn't know he was reading those awful things.

That's admirable, but you could have flipped the switch from your cell phone and then just leave the store up indefinitely.
