I'm on the fence about picking it up to complete the trilogy. It's certainly not "Hollywood at it's finest", as you say... that would be a great film with NO plot holes or eye-rolling moments, dont you think?
Wait...if you're boycotting any and all plot holes and/or eye-rolling moments, how could you pick this up to "complete the trilogy?" Surely, this hardline position would exclude both of the previous films from your collection, as well, no? Neither is without its plot holes and/or eye-rolling moments.

It's the same on the BD as it was in theaters. It was when the prologue first screened that many felt the voice was too muffled difficult to understand. It was much more distinct by the time the film was released.

It's on a sticker on the front of the plastic case/box. Perhaps it's also numbered on the bottom of the base, someone who has opened theirs would have to speak to that.
Why the hell should I watch the DVd when I'm set uo for Hi Def and blu ray.
The whole film should have used Imax or he should have down converted the Imax so we would have the same screen size for the whole film.

Why the hell should he do what you demand? It's his movie, not yours.

Shooting the entire film in IMAX would have been more or less impossible.

Did you never own The Dark Knight on BD? Because it was presented exactly the same way.

Agreed. I wish people would drop the "Nolan can do wrong" attitude.

Best to worst:

The Dark Knight
Batman Begins
Rises

So the Joker decides on the spur of the moment that he's gonna blow up a hospital (after all, he doesn't have a plan...he's a dog chasing cars), but somehow, he already has the entire hospital rigged to blow...and not one person noticed anyone rolling in barrels of explosives or rigging charges...but that's not a plot hole?

I am actually the complete opposite of that. I think Rises was the best and TDK was the worst. I thought that it was hugely overrated and Heath Ledger wasn't as great as people thought he was.

The feature on the various Batmobiles is worth the price of the release alone. Fun stuff.

Kinda funny how it's the longest featurette and has almost nothing to do with the actual making of though. Heh. But then the psychology and tech documentaries had little to do with the making of The Dark Knight either. And were also the best part of that release. So I guess it's fitting.

Also finally finished watching the film... and I have to say I think I liked it the best of the three films. Though I welcome the reboot.

Agreed...the Batmobile feature is fantastic. It's amazing to see them all side-by-side in the same location. Would've loved to have been there.

When I first heard about it I was certain it would be saved for the UCE coming next year, but I'm glad it's included here all the same

How does the sound translate through the headphones? I bought a pair of Sennheiser headphones a few yrs back and was not impressed with them and returned them. Unless I didn't buy the high end pair.

Yes. Even when I watched this movie at the theaters that weekend, I kept thinking of the incident and how it must have felt. That incident has completely changed my theatergoing experience. Months after the incident, the Regal cinema I frequent when I went to see Argo recently, about every half hour, an employee of the theater still comes to check the emergency exits to make sure they're secure. I guess it has become a safety protocol.

Yeah, well, that's your opinion - but it wasn't done that way, was it? And the aspect changes seemed to really bug you what with the all angry yelling, so it was just a suggestion, man, one possible solution since Nolan isn't going to do it all over for you. Pity that WB didn't offer viewers the choice (as I'm told was the case with Transformers 2), but hey, I didn't make that decision.

Transformers 2 was kind of a different animal though, as it also had additional footage in the IMAX edition they released at Wally World.

I got the Digibook today!

And I finally got a chance to see TDKR. I can honestly say that it's definitely up there in terms of Best Picture of the Year.

See, to borrow Batman's attitude toward Catwoman, I think you're better than that. Your opinion was just that, an expression of your opinion - it didn't insult another member or put down a whole group of people like the quote you - I would argue mistakenly - agreed with. It's a rancid putdown and a thoroughly undemocratic attitude which I argued against here. It's fine to have personal opinions, but others have a right to their opinions as well - without being put down or insulted. The inability to express your point of view without condemning others who don't share that point of view is the first step towards fascism.

Saw this in the theater twice..One high end and in one average theater.. Bane was hard to understand in both. His voice is much clearer on the Blu-ray.

The Blu-ray is outstanding ..the movie itself...Good but my least favorite of the trilogy. I really like Bane though.

Yeah, I always have a hard time enjoying the opening sequence during the whole plane scene, because that's when the theater shooting happened.

Just the whole thing about this Batman franchise is weird, because Heath Ledger died and couldn't see TDK, and those folks in Colorado couldn't finish watching TDKR.
