Binged the second season of Interview with the Vampire yesterday and it was great. I re-subscribed to AMC+ for a month just for that and it was worth it.

Was scheduled to see MaXXXine tonight but still haven't watched Pearl yet, so have to do that first. MaXXXine will have to wait until Sunday now.

I also get Shudder via AMC+ and see that Late Night with the Devil is on there, so will also watch that soon.

Pearl was good just because of Mia’s performance, but I enjoyed X way more since it was downright uncomfortable to watch at times. MaXXXine will be a day 1 buy once it comes out. Let us know what you think once you watch the last two.

My local theater had MaXXXine on the coming soon list this morning and now it's not and it's not playing anywhere near me for now.

I’m the opposite, preferred Pearl, even though I enjoyed both. The last 30 minutes of Pearl was amongst the finest sequences of the year.

It isn't true.

Sony is only stopping production of blank recordable discs such as BD-R discs.

Sony won't phase out Blu-ray movie and game discs, only ceasing production on consumer BD-R

OMG I never heard of that and I'm kind of shook.

480 minutes ? 2 disc "collectors" edition ? ..... That's a lot of I wonder what. I may need to look into this.

I certainly hesitated, but it should be here Monday. (Vilya gets LotR and I get this!!) I better get to work on those shark-treats posted above. I have made the watermellon shark a few times and I am confused why I can't find the pix but If I do I will share them.

Just like that, I'm a DickShark collector. I hope this wins as the worst shark movie ever because I'm not sure how much more I can take. Stay tuned for me review (PG as can be)

Here's to hoping the Hawk Tuah girl is available for the sequel.

My new way of doing things is much more wife friendly. There are very few discs within the room ( a couple of boxed sets - Tarantino, HALLOWEEN, F13 and STAR WARS FACES LDs). The ripped media can be displayed in multiple ways on my ZIDOO by whoever is watching (genre, date, alphabetical etc.). For the most part, the setup is voice activated and just works...

I agree with russ adding shelves is not hard and they can hold a lot of films, and if you need to put (temporarily some a bit awkwardly (movie in front, movie on top... it is not a big issue)


for me, we put the empty case on the player and we don't tend to put it back in the case when the film is done (unless we go with an other film right after). I then have a little space and people put the watched films there and then eventually I put them back on the shelves, I don't like others [putting them back.

- You can keep all the discs safely elsewhere
- The discs don't damaged from use
- You can know right away if a disc is defective (doesn't rip)

- You can have the system remember where you are in long TV series
- Special packaging that doesn't fit in on the shelf is no longer an issue
- Don't have to dig into box sets

There are a TON of positives.

For me personally ... I had a problem with PCM being mapped to incorrect channels and really no one cared about this problem so I don't know if it ever got fixed.

I"m out growing my shelves and I do like the idea so maybe I will revisit it.

I tend to only watch one thing per day so having my entire collection online 24/7 seemed kind of like a waste of precious energy. Also the time to load such a system is considerable. You could easily watch the stuff instead. Some people enjoy giving access to a library remotely but in my opinion I have access to enough online movies that became unnecessary.

I'm don't feel strongly for or against it. I just put it away for a while and don't know when or If I'll go back to it.

agree, same here. I get why others do it. But even though sometimes I think about it, I know it is not for me and so I have never took the plunge.

For me, it's the most awesome way to enjoy this hobby.. it's the best of all worlds quality and convenience wise...I can't imagine it being better than things are right now.... but I said that years ago with line doubled Laserdisc fed to a 3 gun CRT projector...LOL..

They are slowly ceasing production of writable Blu-ray discs (BD-Rs). Other companies like Verbatim and SmartBuy are still making them. Looks like this will only affect the Sony brand ones.

It will not affect commercial, pressed discs who are not using the Sony ones currently anyway.

Tubi has the Shallows now.

Maybe one of the worst ways to see it but .... for whoever wanted to know. I find Tubi to have a lot of interesting things I'm watching some Anime on there .... can't remember the name of it but there's plenty of watchable stuff on there. If you liked Wolf Creek the TV series on Tubi is great.

I have not made a top ten but I'm fairly sure the Shark Movie I get tomorrow would not make the cut. The Reef is certainly one of my favorites and it's certified freaking awesome.
