I knew I could count on Warner to re-release the hell out of this. The deluxe edition will be mine

There's a strong possibilty that it's both parts combined, since there's no reasin for the MPAA to rerate it if Warner was just bundling the 2 individual releases together.

I seriously doubt they will combine both parts as one movie. I think they will either just have both discs in one package, or have part 1 and 2 on the same disc.

the way the first part ends and the second part begins doesn't seemlessly flow together i.m.o.

It is a new edit, otherwise it wouldn't be resubmitted to MPAA.

Could this be both parts put together? That's what I'm thinking due to the "pervasive" being added to the rating. It'd be a 150 minute movie with violence almost constantly occurring for that longer period of time.

76 + 78 minutes = 154, take away the credits from one of the films, and thats several minutes shorter than the 156 minute runtime in the description page

Maybe there will be some new footage inserted along with both films being combined?

Also,for some reason, I get the feeling that they'll be including this with the UCE for the Dark Knight Trilogy. That might explain why there's so many discs included in that set

I found some information from the DVD product page at Wbshop.com. It looks like this version will have all the extras from the first 2 releases, plus an exclusive cast and crew commentary track, a 70 minute Frank Miller documentary, exclusive artwork, and 4 collector cards

Yeah, I don't think that will happen. Although I would be thrilled if they did, since I was going to get the trilogy UCE anyway.

I know, it's just a feeling I had (I get them from time to time ). I just pictured them thinking "let's make an Ultimate "Dark Knight" collection. Probability is very low that it'll happen, was just throwing it out there.

If they have to include an animated version it should be Gotham Knight which, according to most sources, takes place in the Nolanverse. (That's debatable though.)

It is. Nearly everything from Warner is region free.

Probably the only reason I would double dip on this would be if it includes the voice over/thought narration from the novel
