Did you order during the preorder period? It seems they may have had some hiccups as my order had no email listed according to them. Reach out to them to see and they can update the order with your info.

Well gents, I got mine. Disc has a slip cover with the same art on a normal 4k black case. The box is long and skinny for the poster tube (signed by Mr Hunt with a silver pen).

No issues playing, and the restoration so far seems top notch. It was worth the wait, from what I can see.

So far the only damage I've seen has been the titles - some negatives scratches - but we knew anything with titles/effects wasn't going to be as nice as they were taken from prints and not Ignite's incomplete negative.

EDIT: Watched whole film. It's gorgeous essentially from start to end. End credits (very short) are in better condition than the opening, which had the most wear. When the rest of you get yours, you're in for a treat.

Order 1028 arrived this morning in NYC. All looks very good the running time listed on back cover is wrong its states 73 minutes. But actual running time verified by OPPO player is 79 minutes minus the new restoration credits in the beginning. I do wish they had a reversible sleeve. Otherwise all is good. Also there is a Spanish audio track and multiple subtitles.

I talked with Ignite today. They said the reason I wasn't getting email updates was because I opted out of their mailing list. They said if I watned to get a shipping notification I need to be added to it, which seems a little odd but oh well. They offered to add me to it, which I allowed them to do, and lo and behold I got a shipping notification for Order #1082 this afternoon.

Based on playingphysicist review, I am looking forward to getting this soon!

Hello. Got my shipping notice too. I'm guessing that they're getting dozens of sets out every day. It's probably a very small operation that requires quite a bit of work. Either way, as I mentioned, patience pays off.

Also, based off the order page, it looks like they did update my address, as requested via email. Yay!

You'd think they could get more than that out per day as this isn't rocket science and they've had them for at least 2 weeks now. It's not like they have more than one title so it's pretty simple. Prepack boxes w/ poster (original preorder period) and then slap on the shipping labels ... followed by those w/o poster (later preorder period).

First, it's the holidays. Things get weird during the holidays.

Second, have you ever packed dozens of fragile packages over the course of a day? I have. It's horrifically annoying, brain-crushing, tedious work. I'd hate to have to do it for a living, even in part. I have no idea how many people work for Ignite. I'm guessing it's a tiny shop. Doesn't VinSyn have something like 30 employees? I'm guessing a good chunk of them handle packages full-time, or often enough that it's a significant part of their job. Even with all the extra hands, VinSyn can't get everything out the door all at once. Why would Ignite be any different? I'm sure they could hire temporary help to pack everything and speed it all up. I'm guessing the chances of the help understanding how to properly pack everything for obsessive collectors is pretty low, seeing as how even Diabolik had recent issues with temporary help and how they caused stuff to arrive damaged.

Things get weird with packaging during the holidays? How so?

You do know that VS has expotentially more orders than Ignite, right? And Grindhouse Video is handling the fulfillment of these orders for Ignite. I'm pretty sure GV knows how to package shipments and has the capability to pack more than a few dozen in a day. Why do you think they're only packing a few dozen a day?

Sounds like they used a release print for that section. Is there a 20th Century Fox logo there by chance?

Still haven’t gotten the shipped email. I did pre order when the regular sets went live back in July.

Update my order number is 1706. So if they are going in order it’s gonna be a while till I get a shipping email. Maybe after Christmas.
