![]() . Guys I have question about my year and a half old Denon AVR-791 receiver please. At first after turning on my receiver and cable TV it would connect and play the audio immediately. About 18 months later it would take about a minute to connect to the audio channel. Then a week later it would take 5 min, then 10, then 20, 40, 80, doubling about every 5 days or so till it quit making the audio connection altogether, for both cable TV and Blu-ray. So...I was wondering, could this have been due to my running it continuously with my cable TV and wearing it out, instead of using it occasionally, such as for music or Blu-ray viewing? Or did I possibly buy a lemon? Thanks .

Got the OPPO BDP-93,now I'm thinking of getting the Panasonic VT50 and I was wondering if my Denon AVR-2808 will support 3D.
I'll be using 1.4 HDMI cable's,If not is their anything I can do or use other than selling it. Opened for suggestions. |

http://denon.co.uk/UK/Pages/CustomEr...ct-Detail.aspx You could go with a UT50 or ST50 and put the saved money towards a new receiver since there's very little difference in PQ between models in this years Panasonic plasmas. ![]() |

If you had gotten a player with 2 HDMI outs, you could have worked around the AVR issue. Simply run an HMDI from the player to the TV directly and then use the 2nd HMDI port and run it from the player to the AVR, then you wouldn't need to worry about the Denon and its lack of 3D compatability.

This one is due in September $2500?? North America and October in Europe.
Denon range will be the AVR-4520 (above), a £2300 nine-amp, 11.2-channel receiver due in October. It inherits the features of the AVR-3313, including the new DenonLink HD connection between player and receiver using a combination of HDMI and a clock connection, and of course offers network streaming, muiltizone HDMI and 4K upscaling. But it adds to the equation symmetrical monolithic power amps, Audyssey MultEQ XT32 equalisation with support for multiple subwoofers, and both neo:X 11.2 and DSX 11.2 surround. The latest version of Denon’s discrete circuit design, DDSC-HD 32 is used, along with the company’s AL32 multichannel audio processing, upscaling the signal to 32-bit to all but eliminate low-level harmonic distortion. From avsforum: I haven't seen the back panel but there are a couple of interesting changes separating it from the 4311: - Physically it will be larger (4810 sized) - More powerful amps - "Free Assign" amp mode like the 4810 - AL32 processing and 32/192 DAC's - Supports hi-rez network audio streams (192kHZ) - SiriusXM and Spotify added to menu of network services (with Rhapsody + Napster deleted) like the xx13 models - AirPlay can stream to other zones while watching a different source in Main Zone - Built-in 4 port ethernnet hub (so you can take one ethernet connection and hardwire other components in the rack through the 4520) - dts Neo:X (alternate 11ch processing to DSX) - presumably Audyssey LFC - 4k scaling plus of course the HDMI matrix ability with the 3rd output. It looks like the 3rd HDMI out will be "Zone 4" like the 4810ci's optical output, meaning you can do a separate source on the HDMI matrix output than you have set for Zone 2/3 (unlike the 3313, which requires the same source with Zone 2 for both HDMI and standard output). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k-eLO...ature=youtu.be http://www.whathifi.com/blog/valenci...ent-themselves |

I am a proud owner of a 4311. After watching movies non-stop, it's about time I connect my music library. I have not dabbled with AirPlay yet. But ignoring that for a second.
I was recently given a brand new Audio Engine D1 DAC. (What was i going to say? No?) My question is, do I have any use for this DAC? Running iTunes from a Macbook Pro (Most files AAC) -- do I want to use the D1 to connect to my 4311? Or would I be using an inferior DAC compared to what is in the 4311? If I do not want to use the D1, what is the best way to connect the Macbook Pro to the 4311? |

In hindsight, that is so obvious, but I never would have thought to do that in a million years. Thank you.

I'd love to see the 4311 receive this via firmware update. I never have and never will use Rhapsody or Napster but I would use Sirius and Spotify regularly. Not gonna happen, but it'd be nice.

I have the Denon arv-1912. I replaced one of the speakers in my tower(factory replacement), then when I started listening to the music i noticed the sub wasn't working. It's on and it works with the test but not with music or movies. It must be something in the menu of my Denon right? I'll keep looking into it but if anyone has any advice i'd surely appreciate it.

Hey guys! I currently have a Denon AVR-1910. I have been happy with it, but I am thinking about upgrading to a 2312ci or 2313ci. I have read that basic connection support has been reduced over the years (S-Video, component, composite, etc...) but I cannot find a comparison chart that goes over those changes between what I currently have and what an upgraded receiver would offer.
I have the following to connect... Blu-ray player - Oppo BDP-83 Game System - Nintendo Wii (Component), Game System - Gamecube (Component), Game System - 8-bit Nintendo (Composite or S-Video - I can't remember) DVD player - Panasonic (HDMI) 5.0 speaker setup (currently no sub but will have one in the future) Computer - Apple iMac (early 2009) Phones - 2 Apple iphones - 4s and 4 Tablet - iPad3 My wife likes listening to the radio (NPR) we would really like to listen to our iTunes library but I really have no idea what Airplay is (I've basically just heard the term) Would the new receiver support all of my connections? Are there any big gains or losses that I would experience by switching? I would be really appreciative of any insight and guidance I could get! |

It seems as though it's just my iTunes that isn't playing any bass. I was playing Rambo first blood and i guess it doesn't have much bass and when i watched Law abiding citizen the bass came through just fine. Not sure why the iTunes isn't playing bass but at least now I know where the problems is. I'm also a Nintendo guy hedliniv.
