If you want to pretend my PM Inbox is a trash can for your digital copy inserts, I would be more than fine with that.

I have been keeping some of my Disney blu's. But I dont have storage space nor 4K TV so it doesn't bother me.

Regarding the digital copy inserts there is a giveaways forum where you can giveaway your digital codes.

Unbelievable! You're paying out for the 4k version of the movie, but you have to put up with a MUCH lower quality version of the directors cut?

Yes, exactly. If that comes to the UK, it will mean directors cut only on your desktop, laptop, tablet or smartphone. It's very hard to get playback on a tv screen in this country. The other option is just to go with a ITunes/Amazon/Sony Store/Sky/Google etc.

I used to be a guy that bashed Apple. I hated Apple...and I didn't really know why. I believed in Android. I believed anything was better than Apple...until one day I woke up.

The power of Apple is the ecosystem. It's also software and hardware designed by the same company. Android suffers from fragmentation. Android owners fall for the same old crap every time a phone is released. Check out this new quad hd screen, 6 gb ram, even faster processor! It's hilarious. Every phone tries to one up the next one until well....something like the Note 7 happens.

The reality is....it's a phone. It calls, texts, surfs the internet. Apple believes in a strong ecosystem. My Apple watch, Apple TV, iphone, and iPad all work together. Can Android do that? No.

I get updates as soon as they come out. Do you? No. You have to wait for months until Samsung, LG, Verizon, and whoever else touches that mess tries to make it work while adding all of their bloated junk.

Apple is simple. Simple is better. While you are ranting and raving about your new Snapdragon 835 chip, I can text people on my iPad which makes my life easier.

Calling people Apple clones shows a huge misunderstanding of who Apple is, their design philosophy, and why they make the decisions they do.

A Samsung executive was quoted saying "without an ecosystem, you have no future". Samsung is pursuing their own operating system called Tizen.

I suggest you actually do research on Apple, quit believing what you think you know about them, and understand why Apple has not released a 4k TV box yet.

Am I an Apple clone? Sure. I would NEVER go back to Android.

Because we only really have Flixster and they didn't make it easy for big screen playback. Some titles work with Chromecast, others don't. Some are HD, some aren't. IMO, it's a clusterf***!

If you want Digital (I don't) you have yo buy the full price Digital HD version from a ITunes/Amazon or Sony Store. None of which are UV.

So if disc is to die, basically we have to pray ITunes, Amazon, stick around film wise.

The bolded part is why I won't change from Apple at this point. I can drop files between all my devices, mirror easily, I can update quickly...they all just connect together so seamlessly that this single feature alone is enough to keep me locked into their brand. Some new devices are cool and have neat features, but given how well built all the products I've bought from Apple have been and their integration being a main factor they'll keep getting my business into the future.

Just got an email from my ISP that they will begin charging $10 per every 50 GB that I go over on my monthly limit.

They never charged before.

I pictured steedeels avatar as I read the email.

However I get 1 TB on my current plan and they said judging by past activity I won't exceed it and 98% of customers will not either. Most I've ever used was 500 gigs it seems

So that rules out high bit rate 4K? That's why disc will always be one step ahead in terms of quality. I presume you are not a gamer?

I don't hate Apple, I have just been on the PC Side, going back to the Microsoft/Apple Wars. My Wife has an iPhone and iPad, she loves them. If you read some of my Posts you would know I'm Retired AT&T, and Apple was one of our biggest Customers. I sat in meetings with Steve Jobs, and they were an intense group. The only reason I say Apple Clones is because of that 1984 Commercial, were all the Apple Followers were like Zombie Clones. Like I said, I have MS Windows 10 Phone and Windows 10 Computer, so everything works great for me. Apple is too proprietary, and the closed Ecosystem is too confining. I just think you guys lock yourselves into a restrictive Technology.

You are rewriting history.
In the 1984 commercial, the PC users were the "clones" or drones that were going to be set free by the new Mac.
And also back in that era a "clone" was the generic name for an IBM PC compatible computer not made by IBM.

Thanks for the clarification, I just remember and the way it was so ominous, but you are correct PC's were Clones. Anyway, Apple wanted to control all the Clones.

Not control. Outdo. Put them to shame. That sorta thing. When it comes to their ecosystem and intuitive user interface, I think they succeeded.

I'm sure they will release the director's cut on disc right on time for the holidays. They want people to buy the same movie many times.

Like I have been telling you guys, it's going Digital HD at least here in The States. The Studios just want to create more hype, so what ever sells they will go after.

Comcast has me capped at 1TB or pay out the butt. I am a family of 3. 3 Roku's and an XBOX One. We have already gone over the limit twice. I find myself popping in disk more often than not. Also watching older movies in SD. Sucks. It's the way the cable companies are dealing with cord cutters.

Really harms 4K. Right now for our house, it's out of the question.

Comcast has an Unlimited Data Option for $50/mo which removes the cap. Not worth it (or affordable) for everyone but it exists.
