Paterno has a moral problem in this case, not a legal one (unless he falls under the same rules as High School teachers owing to his being a State employee). and he should be gone.. this isn't pants or autographs for tattoo's. when nothing got done by the higher ups, everyone should have done something ![]() Negligence contributing to the endangerment of a minor? Joe testified that he told Curley the GA had reported that he saw Sanduskey....
"fondling or doing something of a sexaul nature to a young boy." I assuming the GA told Joe flat out that it was anal sex because that is what he told Curley and the other guy at a meeting a week or two later. Seems like Joe was at the very least trying to cover his own ass by not being fully forthcoming with the grand jury and at worst was a participant in a possible coverup that involved portraying the incident as something less than what it was. |

again, not defending Joe Pa, but he did tell the guy who runs to police department about this (the aforementioned 'other guy'). Then that guy in conjunction with the head of the University considered the matter handled. I'm sure Paterno thought that they had investigated and that was the conclusion reached... just sayin Last edited by Slec; 11-08-2011 at 04:22 PM. |

Yeah, author John Feinstein said on the Jim Rome Show that he thinks there's a good chance Joe Pa is gone before Saturday's game. He thinks Penn State wants him gone immediately but Paterno's people will try to convince the school to let him finish the season.

This whole Paterno mess is insane. While I have never been a Penn State fan, I have always had a lot of respect for Paterno. That's all gone now, I don't see how anyone can try and protect the monster that is Sandusky. Think about all those poor kids that lost their innocence at way too young of an age. It breaks my heart.

It is a shame that 46 years of work is going to be destroyed because Paterno and Penn State wanted to cover this up. I have heard that there is a police report as far back as 1998 regarding this incident, which is absolutely atrocious.
How could the GA profit and better himself over this situation is far beyond my comprehension. For those of you who believe the GA did everything possible and did not profit from this look at the timing of his promotions. I understand the GA was probably talked to regarding this and told to shut up or he was done in College football, which in its own right is almost just as sick as the man raping a child in the locker room. How the GA did not go to the police when he saw Sandusky walking around and using the teams facilities after he spoke to Paterno is just ridiculous. The GA completely ignored what happened in my mind, and Paterno covered it up. Then again the GA not stopping the act of Rape in its own right is equally as disturbing. Personally I don't get how he didn't confront someone when he say Sandusky walking around campus weeks after the incident. |

Right, the Rape of a Child, well, isn't it morally the equivalent of murder ? ? If you saw murder being committed, and reported it, and then you saw the murderer walking around and using the teams facilities after he spoke to Paterno, now wouldn't you morally feel something is amiss, and take further action... in such a case as that ?? Well, wouldn't you ??? This is more than story about a theft or a burglary. It's about witnessing the anal rape of a child 10 years old. Assuming that the GA told them explicitly what he saw, well that should have been enough to cause immediate actions on the part of the University Administration. Too Big To Fail..... Well, we'll see ! ! ! ! Last edited by Eye Candy; 11-08-2011 at 09:41 PM. |
