I incorrectly thought that Leicester might suffer second season syndrome but boy have they proved me wrong!

It's funny though that Leicester seem to never get credit for anything they do. We didn't just turn our season around last year, we became one of the beast teams in Europe to stay up, pulling one of the greatest escapes in Prem history and yet everyone said we'd go right back down.

You would think this season would have shut up all the haters and doubters up but rather than celebrating Leicester's success this season, they instead say things like "well they aren't one of the big four so the victory doesn't really mean anything" or "well the other team didn't play very well" or "Yeah but that Leicester player made a really big mistake".

Jamie Vardy top striker in the Prem, and look at our stats and our records, what do Leicester need to do to get some damn credit? Win the bloody thing first and then we'll talk?

We have had 3 great escapes in a row but the media just slag us constantly so I know what you mean. Probably jealousy, we have the best fans in England!

We get well over 40,000 fans every home game which puts other 'big clubs' to Shame but it's never mentioned.

Leicester deserve credit for having a right go. They have done great so far.

Poor result for us yesterday, shocking goal to give away can see it taken Klopp at least 3 transfer windows before he has his own team. One Winger in Ibe in the squad, shocking how the club let Markovic go out on loan.

I'm at the match Wednesday hopefully we win can see them wanting to prove a point after the Spurs hammering.

haha yeah he does a bit. I'm hoping he raids the german league for players.

No confidence in this team at the moment and we can create **** all.

Good win for you yesterday, what did you think of the penalty decision?

I'm in two minds about it.

I loved it!

Seriously, it was a certain pen but the Red was a little harsh. Newcastle fans are claiming It was a false win lol. Six in a row!

Even if we go down (I think we will) we will always have that over them. I probably won't be alive when they better that record.

It's not just your mob, Palace have had this for years, if the club isn't fashionable then the media don't give a toss. I was amazed that your victory over Palace only garnered a tiny little column in the Express today, but then I remembered: it was a victory over Palace, so why would the papers care about that when they can fawn over Utd, Citeh, Chelski, Klopp/Liverpool, Arsenal etc etc.

I just figured with all the big clubs failing to live up to expectations and the newcomers getting so utterly thrashed, Leicester may finally get some praise... but no.

I could say the same about Arsenal in the way the English media treated Arsene Wenger down through the years compared to anyone else and so on, but the fact is due to United's history and fan base around the world and how Chelsea and Man.city have flexed their financial muscle in the last few years they bring the attention through other parties around the world to the Premier League.

But the UK/Irish media aren't "the world" though, why would they care about what some fella in Shanghai thinks? The simple fact is that the biggest clubs - yes, this includes Arsenal - will always garner the biggest headlines, no matter what the "little guys" do. Sorry if I sound bitter tob, but that's because I am.

Still, after Palace's great escape under Pulis and the way that Sunderland seem to replay the same season over and over, Premier League survival miracles are ten a penny so it's no wonder they're ignoring Leicester's amazing revival and people are casually tipping Palace for Europe (not gonna happen), it's all old news already.

I think it's human nature. It's the reason I am considering losing Sky. Sick of watching the same teams week in, week out. It's just not value for money.
It might sound selective and a little convenient given my friendships on the forum but I admire Arsenal for the pure football they play. They are not a 'plastic' club like City or Chelsea. I liked them before I joined this forum.
As for Palace, I thought they looked a very decent outfit and with a few tweaks here and there (lose Whickham) sign a couple in January and they could well have a chance.

I do agree Geoff the big clubs do get more attention but their is also a downside with that speaking as a Arsenal fan the non stop media watch down through the years on Arsene wenger and Arsenal when going through bad periods every season its like the media can't wait till you fall.
To get on track i think the point i tried to make was the bigger clubs also bring the bigger audience's around the world and that is just one reason why the Premier League is the richest league in the world.
The big clubs bring that to the table where and not trying to start a argument with anyone here the small clubs don't.
I said in the past that C.Palace still made the best signing in the summer with Cabaye and are getting good results under Alan Pardew, Leicester have surprised me so far but i don't know will they keep the pace, but i do feel more of the spotlight should be on those clubs but sadly most people would rather talk about Chelsea and Mourinho.

Sky have to fight the likes of B.T sports for coverage of fixtures and they look at the big clubs fixtures and what they can get to bring in the viewers and keep their ratings up so sadly your right steedeel Sunderland v Bournemouth for example won't get the figures that sky want.
They lost the champions league rights to B.T sports so they don't want to lose the big fixtures in the premier league to them too.

Here's what matters: I've watched more Leicester and Crystal Palace games this season already than I have all of last in total.

Both teams are exciting this season to the average EPL viewer and to me they're much more on my radar this season than they have been in the past.

I find myself often rooting for them as well, not gonna lie.

Yeah me too. That's only because Of Geoff/Pizzamorg seeming like thoroughly nice chaps though! joking aside, I find them a very exciting away team, fast on the break and more than a little quality.

Leicester are having a right good go and their enthusiasm is enduring.

Another Sunday game for us. Everton away won't be busy. Hope it's me celebrating and not our Everton supporting friend!

The result against Newcastle should have Sunderland in good confidence.

I agree about Sky Steed, I'd be sad to lose the cricket but I'm not one of those rabid footy fans that must watch EVERYTHING, I really don't give a monkey's about watching the big teams week in week out and paying through the nose to do it. Gonna jack it in at some point, I don't know how I'll wean my Dad off of Sky Sports News though.

tob: you're absolutely right, there also comes a downside with your every action being scrutinised, I never thought about it like that (why would I, being a Palace fan? ).

It should but the last three times we beat them we went on to lose the next game.
