For the most part I've come to expect that the LE's will keep cardboard and paper extras exclusive, books, posters and packaging etc, and maybe a CD or two, but anything on a disc is 95% likely to turn up again. No need for Arrow to knock back money from sales, and if they bought the rights and made the extras they probably want to earn back as much as they can from doing so.

I really love the Arrow LE's and boxes that I have, but with a kid, little spare time and work issues I haven't had time to watch a majority of them, and haven't had a spare minute to read the nice booklets either, so from here on I'm fine if stuff gets re-released minus a few extraneous bells and whistles.

If A BITTERSWEET LIFE gets announced as an LE though at some point in the future, I'll be ordering it that very same afternoon.

No reissues come with booklets as they're normally considered part of what's in the limited editions

Some reissues do. Carrie and The Thing are two that I can think of.

Looking to pair one up with Larraz.
I looked at the display downstairs and the Arrow section upstairs and the only other £45 titles I seen were the House and Ring sets. I may have missed it so might still be worth checking.

It's also worth mentioning they are not the books you get with the LE set but a reduced booklet containing only some of the material.

Could be part of their 10th birthday celebration. 10th Anniversary booklets are in Lifeforce (possibly Candyman?)

Chances are they were coming out anyway, they just released them a bit earlier.

Unsure what Arrow are planning with regards to the Phantasm sequels. I thought they would have produced a standard box set with all the films but doesn't make sense having now released the first film as a standalone.

It took so long for the boxset to sell out, I doubt they're considering there are that many customers left to satisfy that it'd warrant re-releasing the sequels.

Think they made 10000 of the buggers, got mine for £30 in a sale

Might make some sense to have a small run of standard sets to test the waters and reprint more when needed.

I'm quite certain they print that much because they expected the sales potential to be that big. It's cheaper to do 1 x 10000 copies than 4 x 2500. Plus, it's you're stating it's a LE, you shouldn't make multiple times x copies.

Another Phantasm set is in the works in the US so someone feels there's a big enough market for a reissue so soon after the first one. Maybe Arrow's box set didn't sell out quickly because of the awkward packaging?

Concerning the "10th Anniversary" booklets that have begun to pop up in some newer titles, what's in them? Any hints? lol

Bah I shoulda waited for the Andromeda Strain once amazon price matched. That's okay...still plenty of gaps to fill...

Just wish some of the newer Academy titles were part of the sale.

Would sooner pay £7.50 each at HMV than £9 plus P&P from Arrow. That said if they include American Horror Project 2 in the onsite sale I'll pay the £50 asking price and pick a second boxed set for either myself or Ebay as it'll save me a £7 train fare and a minimum 2 hour round trip back into civilisation.

They may offer them at the same price as HMV/Fopp. There's no getting around the P&P though.

Nice. I hope they update their site listing for "Lifeforce" with the remastered discs.

Great news for international customers and those who don't live near HMV/Fopp.
