Had such fun with Parasite 3D last week, ended up adding Treasure of the Four Crowns from Kino and ordering Friday the 13th part 3 (corrected Shout disk) off of eBay, hopefully, for this weekend’s viewing!

To whomever doesn't know - If you pour water into a toilet it will flush.

With this new age of storms in a power outage it's good to know this.

Wendell,

Thank goodness you are ok. I'm sorry you have this to deal with be safe.

Thanks for the thought!!!

We are mostly inconvenienced, several lost their life, many lost everything they owned. We still do not know the extent of the damage but we know it is big time major.

Finished Rings of Power S2 yesterday and it was awesome. The 4K DV/Atmos was great. My copy of Longlegs on 4K should arrive sometime today and I will probably watch it tonight or tomorrow.

I don't worry about the future of physical media. I don't see Kino Lorber, Criterion, etc. going anywhere.

I feel like I kind of have a limited taste though, and I do worry about the stuff that I personally like.

Anime and horror movies seem like they'll be fine.

But there's lots of western animation that I really like, Amphibia, Owl House, Gravity Falls (which did get a release), Avatar The Last Airbender (which also got a release); that will probably never get a physical release of any kind.

There's a lot of Disney/Fox stuff in general that don't seem to get releases. It would be nice if they even just tried more MOD releases or something along those lines.

Anime has exploded here and I’m sure in the USA. not a huge fan personally, but great for the likes of yourself. Loads of Blu-ray content lately.

Was given a code for 3-months free ATV+, so that's a $30 savings and it would be $9.99 per month thereafter starting in January. This will finally let me catch up with some of their programming that missed out on recently.

CODA was a real lesson for me... In my way of thinking, I generally make a distinction between what I perceive to be "cinematic" and just plain old "TV"...

I know that I grade a movie lower if it's shot in 4:3 ( yes, I know that's the Academy ratio) or if it has "television " look...of course I know how ridiculous that sounds..lol..

In the case of CODA, I actually shut it off less than 5 minutes in. I actually HATE the look of this movie as it looks like it was shot on an iPhone... again ridiculous...luckily, my wife wanted to see it sometime later and I was able to get a rare second chance...

It's possible it was filmed on an iphone. Apple is into stuff like that.

S1 of Physical is a masterpiece and then they tanked the series with S2 & S3 -- they were awful to me.

They're kicking into some world programming now. They have "The Women in Blue" from Mexico and "Midnight Family," also from Mexico. They have "Le Maison" from France, and a new show from Germany called "Where's Wanda?"

Acapulco was also great and that one is coming back for a final season at some point.
