I watched Go last night - it was really good.

I felt Shark Skin Man and Peach Hip Girl was trying too hard to be a '1999 Japanese film'.

I went to buy Door today from a bricks and mortar HMV but it wasn't in stock.

To those who've received their disc is it okay picture, audio and subtitles wise?

I'd be curious to know who does the compression for Third Window.

Anyone else still waiting for Amazon to ship Door/Door 2?
They haven't even taken the money yet.
I normally wouldn't order from them but there was a £5 off deal if you spend over a certain amount.

I'm in the same boat, mate. They failed to dispatch it even on the week of release, and are now quoting a vague date at the end of November or as late as Christmas!?

No idea what's going on with this one, every other retailer I've checked has it in stock. I wonder who has messed up here?

I don't know what's going on with distribution at the moment. I had basically this with the new BFI Ozu set from HMV, everywhere else had it in stock on release date but I only got it on Saturday nearly 2 weeks later. I've seen some suggestion it's because stores are trying to pre-order and hold less stock and leave it in someone else's warehouse instead so they're often burning through the allocation they initially guessed at too fast and upping their orders too late. Amazon certainly seem to be going out of stock on things during release week pretty regularly and it has given me FOMO a few times thinking there has just been a surprising interest in an LE that is then back in stock a couple of weeks later.

I've just spoken to a rep at amazon. All they could tell me is that they are waiting for stock because it is coming from overseas & here's a £10 promo off your next purchase for us being useless.

No such luck for me, just telling me it'd arrive sometime in late November or even December (a month long window).

Third Window, if you're reading this, what's going on with stock for this title? At Amazon specifically because everyone else has it in stock.

Amazon have lost it.
I have no idea what the hell is wrong with them, but they're just not re-stocking releases, even popular ones like DOOR. Couldn't even get Kamikaze Girls restocked when it went back in print, and that's a classic seller.

And for all new releases, they're inputting them in as socks (see Mad Cats, Funky Forest standard, One Cut Hollywood standard) and despite mailing them every day they refuse to change them.

There is absolutely no problem on our end, it's all Amazon. Believe me, I'd love for them to re-order stock of my best selling titles, or even fulfil orders customers are making, but they couldn't give a shit.

with so many new films released only on VOD/streaming, it’s refreshing to have 2023 films released on disc

Don't knock it, you've got a great review for Mad Cats: "A really good fit and very comfortable to wear whilst running. The fit is accurate, I’m a size 9.5."

BOTH the (OOP?) Wild Card & Teenage Hooker Became A Killing Machine DVD pics are now socks, which is odd, considerimng ALL the other already released ones are what the pics should be.
