We are all too old ot to realize that for some people if it is not something they are interested in no matter how big or small the market is for them it is not a thing/it is dead.

I did not mean a literal blending of the two colors, but more like the alternating red and and green of his signature sweater.

One thing I do kind of like about subtitles is they keep me more alert/engaged with all the reading. If I'm tired, it may be an easier way to watch the movie. But it can also kind of make it a bit tougher to track everything on screen.

As long as I can enjoy it, it ain’t dead! 5-6 Golden or Silver age titles a year is a God send.

I understood what you meant. But there were different incarnations of the shirt. In some there was no stripes on the arms, in others there were and in some it was red and black and in others it was red and very dark green.

I don't feel a bright green light for the green stripes would work well (unless like the artificial pics you found and not screen caps) you want to make it fit a Christmas theam

Posted yesterday but in the wrong thread:

Fandango movie acquisition.

Recently made a purchase of a EST movie via Fandango, it was on sale for $5. Went to play movie at Movies Anywhere and it was not listed so I opened the Fandango app on the Apple TV4K and found the movie. When I selected Play I got a popup “This movie is not playable on this device” so I opened the Fandango app on the Nvidia Shield Pro and it would play from there.

A couple of days back I procured two movies via iTunes, they show on iTunes, Fandango, Movies Anywhere apps on the Apple TV4K. Did not check Prime Video or Google Play.

Have all digital lockers linked to my Movies Anywhere except Microsoft.

It may be worth while to link things again. Movies on Fandango are not all on Movies Anywhere. Movies on iTunes are not all on Movies Anywhere. Your fandango app or ATV4K may have an update available. I have never seen that error but I hardly ever watch streaming and Vudu/Fandango even less.

Good call on not linking Micro$oft, the less you do with them the better.

Anyone have any sales data on 4KBD? A friend of mine keeps saying it's dying off because nobody is buying them outside collector, and that companies will quit producing the players soon.

I can't see it, at least not for a long time yet.

More titles than ever are coming out on 4K Blu-ray now. 4K (disc or digital) drives sales of streaming boxes, disc players, TVs and soundbars. I think if anything, 4K Blu-ray will stick around but it will come at a higher price point, lower availability and format exclusives (Ashoka S1 is only on 4KBD physically, Mando S3 is only on 4KBD physically).

I see studios killing off standard Blu-ray disc before 4K. They can gouge collectors with 4KBD by limiting availability and doing format exclusives as per above. Blu-ray not so much because collectors are chasing 4KBD when they can get it, and your average buyer seems like they'll get a DVD before BD because of cost and familiarity with the format.

It will be interesting to see if Sony and Panasonic come out with new 4KBD player models in the next year or two. Right now it seems like there are 5 models between them, but they're not marketed much when you go to big box stores. That's really what will kill off discs is when they abandon disc players either because of low sales or stagnation.

I can see regular Blu-ray players sticking around for some time in the aftermarket because they're not too expensive plus they can still play DVDs too.

I'm trying to stop buying things all together. Most times these days I find I am watching things once or twice then rarely revisiting them. If I really feel like I need to watch it more than a few times I can wait for it to go on sale digitally (lots of times I can get stuff for <$9.99). And then I can play it anywhere that my Firestick works. Plus I'm running out of room to store discs. I pretty much already own the classics that I know I will rewatch. I think these days renting, or using FAST services, makes more sense especially if I'm not sure I'll like something.

And yes, I know, I flip flop more than a politician. These things are just getting too expensive for me. I per-ordered Wild Robot 4K off of Amazon, ~$39 after shipping. That's crazy when I can wait a two or three weeks and get it on digital for $9.99 or less.

If you are patient and wait for sales the costs are still more than manageable.

As for The Wild Robot it is selling for $29.95 at Walmart and Amazon. If you had spent $5.05 more at Amazon, you would have qualified for free shipping. The product page says exactly what you have to spend to qualify for free shipping, so the $6.99 shipping charge that you incurred was your choice and it has nothing to do with the price of this 4K disc combo pack.

Additionally, the 4K disc combo pack includes the blu-ray and the digital code.

Currently, the 4K digital copy is also selling for $29.99 at Fandango and it includes, well, nothing.

I know it's only one title but Deadpool & Wolverine has sold over 20K copies on Amazon alone in the past month.
