I have been told that there is a significant chance that I *may* have prostate cancer, on top of everything else, so another doctor (my 13th overall) and another round off testing is needed to investigate the possibility further.
Hoping the Doctors are wrong again.

I can't believe I never managed to see this but I will now.

Thanks for the heads up on Zidoo newer models losing 3D ! It does it so well ! Why the heck would they eliminate something it's perfect at ?

Saw that one in the theater many years ago. Added to the library when released on Blu-ray.

The older models were based on Realtek SoC, the latest are based on the new Amlogic SoC. The Amlogic can not output frame packed 3D (full resolution, both eyes), it can output SbS or ToB (½ H or V resolution) 3D. I am told the older Amlogic devices can do frame packed 3D, and if DV P7 FEL is of interest then you can dual boot into CoreELEC. With projectors Dolby Vision is just not that much interest to me. I will say my Zidoo UHD5000 beats my disc players when playing DV titles with Dolby VS10 engaged.

I've really enjoyed the DV content I have watched on the Z9X so far. It's kind of interesting how player led DV works but the results are impressive.

Bought Close Encounters of the Third Kind on 4K from Amazon - it's at $9.99 right now. Will be making a CC purchase before the sale ends later on this week.

I would assume even one appointment is enough to deal with when you have so many challenges, never mind ten!

Is there a better reason to have a home theater than this particular mind blowing experience? Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos with a large screen and good speakers it's stunning! I think it uses every bit of quality I have strived to achieve in my home theater.

It’s pretty great. It doesn’t take top spot though, that belongs to Del Toro’s Pinocchio, thoroughly enjoyed it and it looked and sounded fantastic as well.

I'm not sure I have seen that. Sounds worth investigating. I like a lot of his other work.

Wishing everyone in the US a Happy Thanksgiving tomorrow. I know with health and other issues it can be trying times when you see others enjoying themselves. For us, thanksgiving is everyday that we can getup every morning without assistance and we try to make every day count for something positive.

I intend to procure a 2nd Apple TV4K (3rd gen) for the home theater and move the 2nd gen one to our bed room.

OT.

[Show spoiler]For the media NAS units I have a X10 universal module connected to the power switch of the NAS so I can wake it up or put to sleep with my remote control or a web browser. This operation requires a momentary relay closure. I am on my third X10 universal module (the last one a Pro model) over a period of about a year. Some of my X10 devices is > 25 years old.

Some of the X10 appliance modules can be modified for momentary operation. They are normally On or Off using a latching relay. The problem when they are modified for momentary operation is they can be Off with a momentary On or they may be On with a momentary Off.

So I came up with a circuit that does not look at the state of the relay but operates on the change of state. Have not did anything like this in many years so it took me awhile to reacquaint myself with VisualCADD. Was glad that I constructed myself a test breadboard system a few years back.

Process, design circuit then test operation on breadboard. Once operation is proven then comes circuit board layout. For this device I used a perf board with plated thru holes.

So, if my X10 Pro universal module (here) should fail then I will replace it with a X10 modified appliance module and my little box. I have some appliance modules that have been in everyday use for > 20 years.

I checked out the CC of Seconds from the local library and I have no idea why it took me this long to finally watch it. It was awesome. I saw that the DVD/BD were taken from a 4K source way back in 2013, so here's hoping we get a 4K disc release of it in the new year.

“CC of Seconds”, sorry but I have to ask for clarification on that one. Google was no help.

Seconds - 1966 film

"Good" news is that of all the cancers to get, it is one of the most treatable.

I've had family get it and they've come out with a clean bill of health. Early detection and treatment is key.

I will have a better idea after Dec. 23rd
[Show spoiler]when I am scheduled for a prostate MRI. My PSA test result was fairly high: 9.2 ng/ml; it should have been below 5.4 ng/ml for a man of my age.

The most treatable form of this cancer is when it is discovered early and before symptoms manifest. I have symptoms typical of this cancer, but these could also be the result of ordinary benign prostatic hyperplasia.

A prostate cancer diagnosis would be a hell of a kick to the head on top of my diagnoses of hATTR-CM and hATTR-PN. It would probably disqualify me from getting onto the heart transplant list.
