Just watched Exorcist II on Blu-ray from Arrow, and what a glorious mess it was. I was entertained but get why it sucks. I loved the Baroque visual style - fantastic production design and cinematography on full display here.

I'm watching them now. There's an visual-audio essay that is a little over 12 minutes that seems to be exclusive to this edition. I am watching the Linda Blair interview that is ported over from the Scream Factory edition. I know the booklet included is also an exclusive.

Happy Thanksgiving!

It is amazing how much there is to be grateful for when you stop to really think about it. I hope that everyone does just that and reaches the same realization.

It may seem counter intuitive, given my circumstances, for me to be so thankful, but as difficult as things are I have not had to face them alone. What a tremendous comfort and blessing that is- and has been throughout my life.

I am thankful for this place, too, because here is where I met all of you.

Despite my very occasional visits to the forum, I have always admired how you look at things in a positive way in your posts, even with the hell you must be going through with all your medical appointments. I can only hope that your future appointments bring you some comfort and a very positive outcome.

Well said. There are times where today may mean eating too much and watching football, or trying to visit both sides of the family, but I have learned lately to truly stop and focus what I am thankful for. You are someone who has helped me see and to focus on the positives regardless of the situation.

I have not been posting lately with my attention on the new house and starting a new job, but I try to catch up now and then.

I hope everyone has a great day with whatever you will be doing and feasting on with family and friends, and maybe even getting to enjoy a movie or two.

My X-Files complete series on BD arrived yesterday from Orbit, so will probably knock out the first season or most of it, today. I'm already on S1 E9.

New favourite movie of the year for me....






I'm no longer catholic, but grew up very much immersed in the culture and knew many priests represented by the players in this movie...the ambitious, the cynical, the pious etc..

I've also had the pleasure of visiting the Sistine Chapel many times over the years before, during and after the restoration including this past June...Knowing full well that they couldn't have filmed there, I was marveling at amazing the CGI was... until I ran to my computer after to learn that it was a complete replica set, apparently left over from another movie rebuilt for this movie in 10 weeks. They called back some of the original artisans to update it...IMHO, they did a marvelous job..

Not sure I'll be able to wait 2 months for the UHD to watch again. The stream was awesome with a surprisngly standout DD+ ATMOS track...

Looked yesterday on iTunes and it was $20 to rent, $24 to own. Will wait to see if GameFly adds it, if so then I will view that method. Never been one to must have on release day.
