Very nice Pacific cover. Got mine this week and while the tin is nice I would prefer to have it in a standard blu-ray case.

That looks great. Could you please make a version for 15mm spine as well as typical wider spine? BTW, the correct region coding for this release is ABC. The original cover is mis-marked.

Thanks.

Last three of my Pixar Collection: The Toy Stories. Not too happy about the third one, but I have no clue what to put there without making a mess. Suggestions? And of course, I will put synopsises (is that the correct word?) on the back of all of them. Anything else? Spine numbers? year of making alá Criterion collection? I'll listen to everything. Well... almost :P DVD versions will be available too and I'll upload the photoshop project with all the covers for people who want to do their own tweaking.

They look great to me. I especially love the cover for the second movie (I love Jessie and Bullseye). The third looks good but it kinda feels lacking with only one character. What about making Lotso a bit smaller and adding Big Baby to keep the 2-character theme consistent? Just a thought. I really do like your whole Pixar series though. Great job!

Fixed the region code. I don't think I'll be doing a 15mm version, too much work to rebuild and reduce the spine size after its built in 25mm specs. Plus its part of a matching set for Band of Brothers.

DV8 Do you honor requests for full rez versions through PM or are strictly on one of the cover sites. I know you do post on one of the sites, but after digging through a few pages I cant find which one your gallery is on, even though I know I have read which one it is a few times. Just curious. Thanks for all the great covers

@dv8: great covers!

@hempo22: don't really know if the color of TS3 is appealing. as far as the characters, you could do 1 character for 1, 2 for 2 and 3 for 3. Or you could keep it how it is and add some more characters for TS3.

maybe some of these characters:
trixie
thee characters

the thing about toy story 3 is that it's hard to make it about one or two characters. the only one that's not woody, buzz, jessie or bullseye in the third film with a recognizable silhouette is lotso. tried so many things on that one. and about the color: boring brown, yes, but! it's the color of a moving box and that's really the only connection I got and I've practically used every color there is for the other 11 covers. not much to do.

What about Ken? Probably the second major character to be introduced in Toy Story 3, most of them were just there to increase Lotso's forces I think.

Plus I think that would have some recognisability in silhouette form.

Also, maybe chronological numbers on the spine for when they were realised, like the Disney Classics would look good on them.

Sorry I have never seen TS3 so I was at a loss when trying to figure out what character that was. And yes brown does fit the color palette but it doesn't seem like a fun color palette.

@hempo22:

Okay I found a color wheel (just google image searched for one): http://workchic.com/blog/wp-content/...colorwheel.jpg

Based on your other covers, Up looks a little too much like Wall-E, but for the TS set I would say use either the lime green spectrum or the orange spectrum.

Or if you really wanted to put some work into it, you could choose all the colors over again and start with the ones with most identifiable colors to them. I don't know how much work that would be or if you actually had that planned out before you started doing the covers.

I would make Wall-e black cover but have the red circle around the E like in this picture: http://www.freebestmovies.net/wp-con...e-pictures.jpg

So that is what I would do and you asked for opinions. I would avoid the brown spectrum like the plague unless it really befit the movie. For example dv8's recent cover uses a tan/brown dirt'ish mix and well it fits the cover design really well.

@Trean: Thanks for the color wheel.

Never uploaded the new version of WALL-E, but it's dark blue now. Very dark blue. Up is what it is, Nemo is more of a turquoise for sea color and the pixar shorts collection is light blue. Monsters Inc is mid purple 'cause I ran out of "blues". Pixar uses way to much blue. The next conflict is Cars and The Incredibles. Right now I got fire truck red for cars and for the incredibles some sort of mash between red and purple.

I now that I gave myself some really hard limitations when going with this style, but I think it paid off real good so far. Nemo was a *****. Pixar fishes don't look good as silhouettes. Cars is still a *****!!! those cars just simply don't work as silhouette. and I'm not too happy about hjaving the racing flags on the front, even if they "work".

I gonna take another look at the colors for each movie, but those I'm not really happy with at all is Toy Story 3 and Cars, the silhouettes that is.

Query from a newbie

I was just wondering if anyone had done custom covers for either 'Thirst' or 'a Prophet' as I bought copies from e-bay which have no sleeves and my sad attempts at cut and paste left a lot to be desired? Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Check out the lime green portion of the wheel, that might be better on the eye than the brown/yellow combo you currently use.

Anyone have a raw scan of the 4-film Rambo Collection cover art? I just got a 6 disc case and would like to take the older Trilogy set and the Theatrical and Extended Cut of the 4th film and put them all in the new 6-disc case.
