At Walmart the other day: shout release $15, original MGM blu/DVD was $21.99. On the same rack as mad max 2 and beyond thunderdome, which were $7.99 each. I just sold my MGM one to get the shout one, and I have the UK Petrol can tin. However that version of mad max has the American dub in dts HD ma 2.0, and the Australian in lossy 5.1 DD. but not the original mono. Just have to sync up the DVD, lol. Overall if the shout version is still $10 on Amazon it's a great price.

^ I noticed that too and found that so strange they would have both the Shout and MGM releases. Especially that high price for the MGM release since it can often be found at Giant Tiger for $6.99.

Finally ended up finding a copy at a Best Buy in Newmarket of all places. Got it for $10 after matching Amazon as well, which was nice.

Does Best Buy not insist on including next-day shipping when price matching online retailers anymore? The last time I tried (which admittedly was a couple years ago) this was the policy, yet today it never came up and they had signs all over the place mentioning their price guarantee applied to all online or in-store competitors.

Those signs have been there for two years. You should of gotten a shipping surcharge but you must of gotten lucky. Last time I looked it has not changed if it is under $25.

An Amazon seller has one listed at $49.xx + the 3.49 shipping so it's even cheaper, but it's "like new" so may or may not have the digital code for those who care.

Also currently $49.99 at HMV. I also noticed the Walking Dead Season 4 Collector's Edition with tree walker figurine is now listed at $15.99 as on online sale only, but when you click on it only the 'find in stores' option is available, so likely still $19.99 in store. I snagged a copy at the latter price last week...

The Spartacus set w/figurine at $49.99 is also the in-store price - one of the Ottawa stores pointed out to me when I was calling around looking for a copy of the Walking Dead Season 3 w/aquarium set (without any luck - at $19.99, they went like hotcakes and there's none of those left in the Ottawa area). Still several Spartacus sets in stock though at a few locations out my way....

I scooped the Walking Dead Season 4 Collector Edition on Tuesday for 19.99. No regrets.

Mockingjay, Guardians and Hobbit 3 plummeted in price? Is this a mistake? Weird. Too bad I already have Guardians and have to get the steelbook for Hobbit 3. I will probably grab Mockingjay though.

Price matching HMV.ca sales, good deals but have/want Steelbooks of all 3 to match the rest of the movies in their respective series.

If you want Guardians scoop it up soon though as they are actually price matching the wrong edition. The one that is $8 on the HMV site is the billingual edition with both french and english on the front and spine (the Disney movies that are like that are a cluttered mess IMO).

For my past several Amazon.ca orders, I've added some pre-orders to my cart to get over the $25 limit for free shipping. They've shipped the in-stock items immediately even though I ticked the "ship when entire order is ready." Basically I've gotten a handful of blu-rays ranging in price from $5-12 shipped for free. Plus the fact that I live in Toronto means I almost always get them in 2 days even with Super Saver shipping. I've even cancelled some of those pre-orders that I lost interest in expecting to see shipping charges pop up for the cheaper items that were actually shipped, but it's been a few months now and nothing... is this how Amazon works now?

Another huge price drop for Game of Thrones Season 4 at $22.79. Looks like it's the bilingual packaging version, but great price!

They seem to do that often enough. Not always, but it happened to me a number of times as well.

Yes, I asked about this a couple of years ago, and they assured me it is normal. The woman said "once you get free shipping, it stays as free shipping, we don't take it back".

Not for a return if you didn't like something (and the return puts you under $25), and not for an item cancel when order already partially shipped (and you drop under $25). Kind of strange. But nice!

Edit: oh yeah, thanks for The Guardians mention, I didn't even notice it up there. I still haven't figured out how to find sale items at HMV unless there's a dedicated link, which there mostly isn't, so I didn't know about their sale (online only?).
