I could not agree more. I haven’t been that bored with a film in a long time

No offense to Bill, I wish him well, but I'm really not that interested in his personal life. I just want to know when the store will re-open. These ridiculous games have been going on for 3 weeks and my patience is wearing thin. Dark Force has to be the most unprofessional company in the home video business.

As you get farther away from the unfortunate combination of Bill's standard sales schedule and David's style of advertising, which resulted in the most unfortunate, extremely rapid, triple sell-out of SoaWN, which annoyed many, you will probably find that you like buying Bill's titles from Dark Force about as much as from Diabolik, Ronin and Screen Archives. (No one will ever equal Hamilton.) They just have to compensate for the advertising increase by listing all at once, sending a mass email to a mass email list, like Ronin, with a "Title is up" message, and then find a way to get them shipped within two weeks, even if they don't arrive within two weeks, as long as they are up front about it. I really do believe that Dark Force will get better, like all good businesses, by learning from past mistakes. And combining actual advertising with Bill's trickle-out release strategy, which I've always really loved, was a terrible miscalculation, when it came to getting titles to the real fans. They'll surely work on it and they probably already are.

I love Code Red's Blu-ray output, I have purchased a ton of stuff from both Code Red and Dark Force, and I am wishing the best for Bill's health.

No way I'm going to sit through a 90-minute Facebook live video featuring these guys, though.

The 60-second forced intros on the newer Blu-rays are more than enough of an endurance test for me.

I have to admit to a laughing fit after seeing the DF FB where they were claiming to have the last copies of Mary, Mary, Bloody Mary, trying to refute that Ronin would have it - then when someone posted a link to the live and open Ronin site with the title on sale.... crickets...

I warned you all! I’m sure there are some who will find some enjoyment in it. Hell, I’ll even one day grab it for my anthology collection, but it’s definitely near the bottom as far as horror anthologies are concerned. All the segments are dull and forgettable. I agree, the wraparound is somewhat fun and has a decent atmosphere, but you don’t watch an anthology for the wraparound.

I think it’s so funny that this title has got as much attention and demand that it’s has, especially when Code Red has released so many more better titles.

I do not put anybody on my ignore list.

There are, however, certain folks whose posts I imagine coming across like the voices of the adults in the Charlie Brown cartoons.
“Wah wah waaaaaah wah waaaah waaaaaaaah. Wah waaaaaah. Wah waaah wah.”

Oddly enough, I usually don't like anthology films but I really liked this one...it just nailed the atmosphere for me

Atmosphere was key for me with SWOAN. Something about the ambience felt very genune. Without that it would have sucked but it nailed the atmosphere component. I also think it helps to see it on a projection screen instead of TV for the same reason, immersiveness.

Wasn't my favortite code red movie but felt it was one of the better ones.

So did Ronin pull a coup and "steal" Blackout away from Dark Force? Ha! I can put the metal chair away and won't have to hit myself with it trying to buy this. "Let's get ready to rumble!"

BTW, was "Blackout" even filmed in New York City or on some stage in Vancouver? I hate when they substitute New York with some other city like there's a good enough comparison.
