And IMO, R:Retribution is the most fun ive had with my PSP, hands down.
The idea was great, the story good, the love between it, R2, and the PS3 was a genius move, but I didn't care much for the gameplay. Oh well.

I am now officially excited for this game after reading the review. And it releases just a couple days before my birthday...looks like I know what I'm getting now!

I don't know, it sounds a lot like Bioshock (i.e. lightning from your hands, two different story modes) but I'm not complaining. I'm excited about this one.

How come IGN did it?

Loads of screenshots here but be warned if you don't want to see the before and after explosion that starts the game off.

Where do you get this mini-guide?

IGN Podcast Beyond, Episode 91 [direct download]

Impressions galore from several editors, nothing too spoilerish unless you've never seen Top Gun.

Apparently the mini-guide's PR material, Guy Cocker's hands-on with the full press kit lead me to believe this might be for the great unwashed.

Did you all like the demo?

I played it for over an hour last night...I Like the art style of the city and the controls seemed very easy and smooth..Graphics are good and the powers were cool.. You have really zero interaction when it comes to the pedestrians on the street.. They react like zombies.. They will run and then a few seconds later just start walking again.. weird.

hmmmm I dont know what it is about the game .. its missing something.. Once I played through it a couple of times (which is alot since the demo is a big one) I felt like ive seen it all and done it all... All the guys you kill look exactly the same.. hmmmm

I still might get it.. The demo was cool but is it worth the $65? I think that $65 would be alot better to put down on Red Faction that comes out a week later.. or maybe check to see what prototype is going to be like... What is your take on it?

Taking cover, shooting regular weapons and driving wheeled vehicles was unsatisfying, felt off in the Red Faction demo. It's all about blowing stuff up which wont stretch a whole game. Prototype looks terrible to me, tasteless, ugly, without the limitations on character movement that make a game fun and challenging.

Watch some more inFAMOUS gameplay videos, listen to the IGN podcast, just check more stuff out because variety is one of inFAMOUS' great strengths.
