To be honest its more a question of how many! There havent been many released

Saw 3D is pretty good as is The Final Destination 3D as they were both filmed in native 3D. Lots of pop out effects and fabulous depth.
Fright Night is supposed to be ok and I really enjoyed the film.

Piranha 3D is ok ish but was converted, not seen My Bloody Valentine 3D

If you're into the sci-fi action horror type, then Resident Evil Afterlife is a good choice. I haven't personally seen this one, but I've heard that A Haunting in Salem has greath depth throughout, but not much pop if that's what you're looking for.

Resident Evil: Afterlife, The Final Destination and My Bloody Valentine all have great 3D effects. They really take advantage of the technology by having the pop out effect.

Saw 3D was little disappointing to me. There was some depth, but no real gimmick shots. Pirahna 3D was similar in that there was more focus on depth, but not on the pop out effect.

Drive Angry is more of a supernatural action movie, but I thought I would mention it as well. Plenty of 3D effects and it is usually pretty cheap.

Fright Night come out tomorrow and is getting good buzz, aside from the night shots supposedly being really dark.

Default 3d horror

I love me some 3D horror. Thought it would be good to have a thread for current and new releases. Of the titles currently available the following come to mind:

Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter (action horror)
Final Destination 4 (I don't own this, the UK never got a real 3D release)
Final Destination 5
Frankenweenie (tongue in cheek horror)
Night of the Living Dead: Reanimation
Paranorman (again, tongue in cheek horror)
Saw: The Final Chapter
Silent Hill: Revelation
Texas Chainsaw
Bait
The Hole (More aimed at youths but still a light horror)
My Bloody Valentine
Piranha
Piranha 3DD
Underworld Awakening
Fright Night
Prometheus
The Creature From the Black Lagoon

Which have I forgotten? What upcoming releases have we got to look forward to? I think horror is a great genre for 3D and would love to see more 3D horror movies

My Bloody Valentine is kind of disappointing. As a whole the 3D is good, during the scenes that you expected the pop out effect feel flat.

Also the Haunting in Salem, and Shock Labyrinth come to mind as well as Tormented. I cannot however comment on the quality as they are in line to be watched.

Friday the 13th, Part 3D has an anaglyph 3D version in the package.

Amityville 3D will be coming out later this year as part of an Amityvile box set from Scream Factory.

Same here, my Netflix Que is overwhelmingly horror tinted. Growing up I developed a taste for horror movies by watching Shock Theater. The Universal Monsters made a big impression on little ole me.

By the way, is that Amityville 3D movie any good? How is the depth and pop-outs?

Amityville 3D is a pretty bad movie overall... it's PG (not PG-13, PG) and really light on proper scares. Cliche and kinda goofy. Pretty bad special effects even for the time. But it's a proper 80s 3D flick where the extra dimension really was just a gimmick and they exploited the hell out of it, so it's actually pretty fun even in the low-quality field sequential bootleg DVD I've got of it. Lots of stuff flying out of the screen... flies, glass, pipes, magnifying glasses, flashlights, an old lady's spit, ghostly clouds of spookyness, frisbees, demonic fire breath, a stuffed marlin... none of those are a joke.

As to the list, it's missing A Haunting in Salem but that's probably not worth it. Native 3D, but composed just like any old no-budget 2D movie so it really doesn't take advantage of it. Not very good from just a film perspective either.

Sector 7 is another one... first Korean 3D horror film (I think).

Really good modern monster movie.
