Rottentomatoes critics grade can be seriously irrelevant because it uses reviews from when the movie first came out. So it can be misleading when it comes to movies that were ahead of their time. See The Shining and its mediocre score.
But overall, for me, there isn't a conclusive answer about which scores from what site I agree with. With some movies, I agree with the scores from one site, while with others I agree more with the other. I imagine that it's like this with every movie fan. |

Some bad news:
From Variety: "Disney pulls plug on Selick stop-motion pic Untitled project had been set for release in October 2013 By MARC GRASER Disney has decided not to move forward with Henry Selick's untitled stop-motion pic, ending production on the film that was scheduled for release Oct. 4, 2013. The Mouse House notified around 150 staffers working at Shademaker Prods. in San Francisco on Tuesday afternoon of the decision. Selick can now shop the property to another studio. Project marks the first pic Alan Horn has pulled the plug on since replacing Rich Ross as chairman of the Walt Disney Studios in June. The move isn't expected to affect another Selick project, an adaptation of Neil Gaiman's "The Graveyard Book," also set up at Disney. Sources close to the production said from a creative and scheduling standpoint, the pic wasn't where it needed to be to meet its planned release date and the studio decided not to continue production as a result. While the pic had been in production since last summer, Disney had yet to hire thesps to voice characters. Studio also had yet to reveal any artwork from the project during its production or as promotional materials, making it easier for another distributor to pick up the film. Selick helmed stop-motion hits "Coraline," "James and the Giant Peach," and Disney's "The Nightmare Before Christmas," produced by Tim Burton. Disney releases Burton's next stop-motion pic, "Frankenweenie," on Oct. 5." I just hope they don't plug on the Gaiman-Selick film. I love stop-motion films! |

And on another note, to everyone, on the BBC website that has the Aladdin Diamond Edition Trailer and the Peter Pan Diamond Edition Trailer that are classified that Disneyfreak referred to, I wouldn't count that as so very accurate. True, I found nothing on Mermaid, but I searched for many different past Diamonds to test it. I found all of them, *i.e. BATB, TLK, Bambi, etc.*, but CINDERELLA does not even show up! And you'd think it would be classified already, seeing as it comes out in less than two months! And I'm just going to state that two weeks ago I was on that very page, and all they had listed was up to Aladdin. Now, today, Mermaid has appeared. And besides, we all know Aladdin's coming, but no official confirmation from Disney has been released for that, save for the Lady and the Tramp booklet, so I still am confident Mermaid will be the Fall 2013 spot. (Cinderella, Lion King, BATB, etc. all had press releases Cindy's in particular was published last August.) Last edited by HarryPotterGrl10; 08-16-2012 at 05:59 AM. |

As to the site I showed you, that site is the official ratings for all of the UK's movies and trailers and all information is true. Cinderella has many classifications including bonus features and many other things. Here is the link. http://www.bbfc.co.uk/AVC291968/ Last edited by disneyfreak; 08-16-2012 at 08:34 PM. |

Ok, since this thread have turned into the "Which movie is Diamond and which one isn't" thread, I will try to change the subject by saying that today I finally saw The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad and that means I finally finished watching all the "Anthology Films" from the 1940s and that also means that now I've officially seen all 51 disney animated films! Now that I've seen all of them I will rate them from worst to best (in my humble opinion of course):
51. Chicken Little 50. Home on the Range 49. The Black Cauldron 48. Dinosaur 47. Make, Mine, Music 46. Oliver & Company 45. Atlantis: The Lost Empire 44. Saludos Amigos 43. Melody Time 42. The Three Caballeros 41. Fun and Fancy Free 40. The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad 39. Treasure Planet 38. The Fox and the Hound 37. Bolt 36. Brother Bear 35. Robin Hood 34. Meet the Robinsons 33. The Sword in the Stone 32. The Rescuers Down Under 31. Fantasia 2000 30. Winnie the Pooh 29. The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh 28. The Great Mouse Detective 27. The Aristocats 26. The Emperor's New Groove 25. Alice in Wonderland 24. Lilo & Stitch 23. The Rescuers 22. Peter Pan 21. Tangled 20. The Hunchback of Notre Dame 19. Cinderella 18. Pocahontas 17. Tarzan 16. The Princess and the Frog 15. Lady and the Tramp 14. Hercules 13. Mulan 12. Sleeping Beauty 11. Fantasia 10. The Jungle Book 09. Pinocchio 08. Dumbo 07. 101 Dalmatians 06. Bambi 05. Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs 04. Aladdin 03. The Lion King 02. The Little Mermaid 01. Beauty and the Beast Note: From 01 to 41 I either love or like them enough to add to my collection. From 42 to 51 I don't like them enough to add to my collection or I absolutely hate them. Well, that's my list. I'm generally satisfied that I like most of Disney films so in my opinion is still a good studio. ![]() Last edited by zoodermin; 08-19-2012 at 02:33 AM. |

[Show spoiler] of all these but when I look back at it, to me it's the most underrated Disney movie. It's your opinion though, and I am happy to see 101 Dalmatians in the top 10 ![]() |
