Taggarts finally gone then. Next season is going to be very interesting indeed!

Who is going to replace him? Im racking my brains trying to think and not one person stands out.

I can't believe Alex ferguson is to retire at the end of the season.
I am a arsenal fan all my life and it will be strange to not see ferguson in the premier league in the future, we had great battles with united under George graham and Arsene wenger in the past but I wish the man all the best and I hope we can replace Man.united as the top team in English football for a long time.

Nope, that will be sunderland once di canio gets his grip and we sign players deserving of wearing the red and white strip.

Sunderland will do a lot better next season with di canio steedeel but if you get in to the top ten of the league next season then that would be a good season for sunderland.

Yes, I was just jesting.

However, everything is in place for a north east dominated premier league IF sunderland and newcastle could get it right in the next few years. Our fans breathe the sport and the passion is greater in this part of the country in my opinion. 44,000 fans for a team in bottom six is awesome. Of course newcastle would be second best compared to us.

6 year contract is a long contract for manager who hasn't won anything in his career big boots to fill

Wonder will he give Moyes tips on how to get 2 or 3 minutes extra stoppage time

I was surprised to see he got a six year contract.
He has a big job on his hands and it be interesting to see what he does in the summer.

It's a real bummer that Moyes left my team, as he will be a hard man to replace. Despite not winning anything in his tenure with Everton, I think he has done an excellent job under the circumstances. We obviously don't have the budget of the bigger EPL clubs to spend it on world class players, so we have to find the diamond in the rough through due diligence as well as some luck, and we need to develop some young talent before they become well known and start earning some huge money. I hope that whoever replaces Moyes in Everton continues his legacy of finding quality players on the cheap and maintaining a great chemistry for the team, which consistently plays hard and finds way to succeed in a league that's very top heavy with some powerhouse teams.

One thing is almost certain.

If Moyes fails to deliver any kind of silverware next season...he'll be gone.

Much respect goes to Wigan for winning their first FA Cup in club history today, defeating Man City in the finals (1-0) in the process. They overcame all odds in the tourney, and I got to be honest, I don't feel as bad losing to them (3-0) at home anymore. After all, they became the eventually champs. They deserve this win.
