i was wondering how i leveed up .. i hadnot gotten any insight yet ... i have a madmens item though so i think when i play next ill finally get to level up ..

That happened to me yesterday. It was that way from 11 pm Monday through Tuesday morning, and it had resolved by Tuesday afternoon. I think the game continues downloading after it installs. Just give it a few hours and play offline.

Beat the Cleric Beast first, I think. That's when upgrading became available to me.

no according to the video its you need atleast 1 insight .. which typically is given to you by beating bosses but taht madmens item also gives it to you .. which i have so i will use that ..

OK. Makes sense, too. Does that mean, if you spend all of your insight, that you will no longer be able to level up, or does it stay unlocked once you get your first insight?

i think it stays once acquired .. it has to do with online as well .. maybe to keep PVP balanced ????

You only ever need to spend one insight to level up, it stays unlocked after that.

You will need to spend insight to summon a co-op friend or invade peoples worlds as well. Think of it as humanity.

[Show spoiler]Fight the cleric beast on the bridge. Even if you lose, the doll in the dream world will come to life and she will enable you to level up in exchange for blood echoes. At least for your base stats, like vitality and strength and such.

Is there any reason to raise my insight when I don't play online? I can get my insight to 3 but I don't play online at all. Will it affect my game?

Supposedly there is a vendor who will accept insight a currency. When it gets higher, it also makes you susceptible to whatever "frenzy" is. There has to be more to it, though. I might suppose there are world events that are affected by it, but that kind of complexity seems to have been left out of this game.

There is one gate I can not figure out how to open, leading to a cemetery in the very first outdoor part of Yharnam. Any clues? There is an item on a body on the other side.

Use fire. Easy to say. I haven't succeeded there either.



And wow! If you can master parrry/riposte in this game you can dominate. It's not something I ever got good at in Souls. It was a great skill there, too, but without a shield, using the pistol, it's amazing. One hit kills on everything, except the ones I fail on and get killed myself.

is insane. I got him down to about 30% but that's the best I done so far.

Also just beat the

today. Felt good, only took me 2 tries to. Thought I would spend days trying to kill it.

I fought

and died. One question about him though. Do all his

[Show spoiler]forms get full health or does he change as I lower his health?
