Last bit of discoveries for the weekend:

Purchased the

[Show spoiler]Dark Link

armor set (it ups your nighttime movement speed) and several other armor sets that I won't use but just wanted to be able to say I got them

Finished up 47 side quests; 29 to go. Completion percentage is still at 25%, 25.06% now; so it seems that it is heavily weighted by finding the Korok seeds.

Found a Zora history monument that revealed a little more info about the timeline placement: It says that the creation of the Divine Beasts

[Show spoiler]10,000 years ago was "ages" after the events of Ocarina of Time (and that Ruta is named after Ruto). Many other things in the game tell you this is after Skyward (obviously) and Ocarina and at least one that tells you it is after Twilight, but nothing confirmed that it was THIS far after them.

I believe Twilight Princess is about 100 years after Ocarina of Time if I remember right,

I decided to put a holt on what I was doing in the East and instead head North toward the castle. I got to a Shrine and took a break.

For a game that is supposed let you do whatever you want, I need to hunt down a memory just to get

By the way, what direction did everyone originally paraglide off the Great Plateau? I went East, so that's why I'm doing all the things in the East first.

I had a ton of free time this week with being off from work, my progress will slow considerably being back in the office starting Monday.

I went straight for Kakariko.

Hasn't done anything amazing except make a quest at East Akkala Stable far easier to finish.

I just read that holding an ice weapon in the desert will cool you off and remove the need for heat resistant armor/food. Never even crossed my mind they would go that realistic with it

They really did mean it when they said "If you think it, you can probably do it."

I think I read that if you have frozen food on you it keeps you cool too. Havent got that far yet so haven't tried it out.

I can tell you that the Blizzard Rod doesn't work as well in the heat.
I have yet to try an actual Ice Rod though.

It's actually just

[Show spoiler]wind.

Sword is a two hander with 40 power.


I typically stay away from 2 handed swords in games as I prefer the speed and defense of a single handed sword with shield.

Not so much though for the hardest ones though. Five bomb arrows and two 30+ damage shock swords hardly made a dent.

I thought they said the classic hat wasn't in the game because "it was too hard to make it look right?" That looks pretty classic to me.

They meant as part of this Link's standard outfit which is just the Hylian trousers and Champion tunic from the promotional images and memories.

I have the full Wind outfit and the Time outfit. Today I got my first piece of the Twilight outfit, the Twiligth Tunic. Each set has hat, Tunic, and pants. I still haven't gotten anything from the 8-bit set yet. All these outfits are acquired from their respective amiibo.
