Somebody else mentioned that it seems like There Will Be Blood meets Goodfellas. The comparisons to the former was something that was going through my mind. Which is why I mentioned that it seems like a pretty 2010's movie.

I had read the book earlier this year in anticipation of the film. I wished I had known of the book when it came out because it is the kind of thing that is right up my street.

There are a couple of shots in the trailer of De Niro where he looks exactly like the real life man he is portraying.

The story on which this film is based feels like the work of Hollywood fiction. I could not believe some of what went on, some of it was unsurprising but my jaw was on the floor a lot of the time.

Doesn't look like it is going to pull any punches.

Can't wait for this to be released. Loved every minute of The Irishman, and this film feels as though it's of a similar calibre.
