Super disappointing and not really very good at all. The CGI looks straight from the late 90s - i.e., cheap and awful. Really nothing gripping about the first episode at all. Bad move to release one a week, because I’m not even sure I’ll watch another one.

Not gonna fully judge yet, but after the first episode it’s basically just “Cool Looking Star Wars Shit: The Series”. I hope it offers something more compelling for me soon.

There was some intrigue with the ending, but did they really just
[Show spoiler] kill off IG-11 already?! I thought all the characters (including The Mandalorian) were pretty unengaging until he showed up. Seemed like the perfect sidekick that the main character desperately needed, and brought the whimsy that the show was lacking up to that point.

And I thought exploring Yoda’s species was off limits for the EU? Either that was a myth or they must’ve gotten George Lucas’ permission since he visited the set.

I liked it fine, and I’m not much of a SW fan

Was it known how short these episodes were going to be? It was only around 36 minutes without credits and I thought it was going to be way longer.

Watched it twice already. Spectacular, as is the D+ service itself. Watched over mobile data, looked damn near Blu-ray quality. Most impressive. (And I'mma need a tshirt with "I have spoken", asap.

[Show spoiler]There are rumors of time travel in IX, and it was introduced as canon towards the end of Rebels... that couldn't somehow be baby Yoda, could it? Either way, that ending provoked a

36 minutes? Eh...I half expected them to be 48-52 minutes long.

Really enjoyed the first episode and thought it was fantastic.

First episode was really cool. I loved the IG droid at the end.

This takes place after Return of the Jedi right?
[Show spoiler]They mentioned “pre-Empire” and also “”the Empire is no more”
so I’m assuming that’s the case.

I can’t wait to see what the story behind the
[Show spoiler]baby Yoda
is! I was NOT expecting that.

Slow-going at first, but did enjoy the climax. I thought the episode ended fairly well.

Picked up an unexpected "Conan the Barbarian" (1982) vibe every now and then.

It takes place 9 ABY, which is about 5 years after ROTJ. So based on the aftermath trilogy, the New Republic is still being established and the galactic concordance hasnt been signed between the splintered empire and the republic.

Definitely wasnt expecting who the bounty at the end was, I'm certainly intrigued for the story behind that. Overall I thought the episode was preatty good.

Thumbs up

It's only 1 episode in so far but it's already the best Star Wars content from Disney. Amazing how the Mandalorian doesn't remove his helmet and speaks in a modulated voice, yet in 38 minutes already has more personality than Rey. It's also refreshing to see some humor that isn't a cringe hammer.

8 out of 10
