Just got an email from Disney Movie Rewards to sign up for Disney+ for 3 years for $169.99 (a savings of $39.98) or for two years for $119.99 (a savings of $19.99) for those that missed that promotion last month from the D23 event. Offer appears to be good until October 11th.

Will Droids and Ewoks be available?

What the Ewok movies?

My sister is in New Zealand and I asked her to sign up (because I'm in Ireland and I'd pay obviously) but she won't do it.

Now I have get friendly with the American relatives again.

EDIT: I'm assuming Disney+ will not have geographical restrictions so people can use it when travelling.

I have a question. Is everything staying there permanently or are they adding and removing like Netflix?

Because it’s Disney owned, I think anything new from this year and moving into the future will stay there.

Catalog stuff might be a toss up based on existing deals between networks and channels that we just don’t know about.

Weird. I wonder why they removed the original Adventures in Babysitting already?

I’d get the 3 year subscription but I also want to bundle with Hulu.

Also, does anyone know what the version of a Muppet Christmas Carol will be on this?

Has anyone received any notices from Hulu about signing up for Disney + yet?

So will this mean that anything owned by Disney will never be broadcast on televison? I am thinking places like basic cable or any of the premium channels that currently air Disney movies.

Will there be a Disney+ and Hulu only bundle? I have zero interest in ESPN.

If they've got the license until xx they can air it until then, just like all the Disney properties on Amazon and Netflix won't suddenly disappear out of nowhere. But when that license expires, then yeah, I'd guess the only place that airs Disney movies will be the Disney-owned networks. Disney's not going to want people to access their stuff on something that's not theirs.

Fox titles may be different though, unless they just use those to drive Hulu subscription.

They’ll still have broadcast and cable TV deals because that money is as good or better than subscription revenue.

Nope. You’re basically getting ESPN+ for free and have no obligation to use it.

It's possibly going forward that they will still air their movies on TV, just on Disney Channels, Freeform and FX.

It's the version without that song, from what I've read elsewhere.

I'm hoping that the 10th Walt Disney
Animation Studio film Melody Time is
finally presented in HD on Disney+.

I know a 2K restoration was completed for both
Melody Time and the 8th animated film
Make Mine Music
- but neither have been made
available in HD on Blu-ray or key digital platforms so far.

Make Mine Music hasn't appeared
on any Disney+ list that I've seen.

It was shortened/censored on DVD (just like Melody Time).
If it ever does show up we would finally have all access
either on disc or digital to all 57 of the
Walt Disney Animated Studio Classics in full HD.
(Frozen II will be #58.)
