Then, present day, cue rest of the movie.

Reitman stated teenagers... That could be senior high schoolers on their way to college. Could be new recruits that "the guys" need to train. I also like the idea of making various different ghostbuster headquarters in different cities. That coulda worked for the 2016 film... coulda been a team of women based out of Boston or L.A. but with knowledge of the founding fathers of Ghostbusters.

I believe the rumour mill is stating 4 teenagers: 2 boys, 2 girls. I think everything else is just "trusted source" bullshit tbh. I'm hoping if it is 4 teenagers then we're talking 16-19, but tbh I find even that too young. The original film was a huge success partly because they were not pandering to any "popular" demographic. This has "gotta make that PG money, cash in on that Stranger Things hype" written all over it.

Kiddie/teenage Ghostbusters is definitely not what I wanna see. I fear that could bomb as hard as the 2016 movie.

They need to use well known adult comedians.

I'm also a bit concerned the 2016 may have left a sour aftertaste for many which could hamper a new movie. I'm not sure if people are bothered about another Ghostbusters now.
