If you’re referring to the recent “Television Collection” box set that came out last month, it has some of the worst inner disc trays imaginable.

This set looks fine. The Entire Mystery box is still one of the most beautiful in my collection and the glossy season 3 pull apart packaging is quite handsome as well. Both feature cardboard slots/sleeves, so I transferred the actual disc to a binder (like I do with many TV series) for easy access and keep the boxes themselves looking pretty and mint up on a shelf. Will probably do the same here, but only with the new bonus content.

FYI as it’s easy to overlook on the Z to A set, be sure and peel the plastic film from the front of the acrylic piece. Looks great once removed, looks hazy and like garbage with the film on it.

I don’t mind the cube part—that’s pretty cool. but all the empty space inside the packaging is so weird... not even sure what the plastic figurine cutout’s purpose is it doesn’t stay in place inside that plastic flap thingy which I don’t understand if I’m even doing it right—could have used that space to put the discs inside something nicer. Excited to watch the supplements though

Anybody else experiencing a playback issue with the 4K disc? Specifically, I am experiencing an issue watching the International Cut of the pilot, transition towards the end from the basement scene to the "25 Years Later" sequence. Disc is locking up. I note that the disc was absolutely jammed tightly into the sleeve to the point that I thought I was going to damage the sleeve to get the disc out. I didn't scratch the disc and see no visible issue. Just wondering if I have a bad disc or if this is a larger problem.

I haven’t checked mine yet but man that slipcase was definitely a tight fit I was scared I was going to crack the disc taking it out. I’ll let you know if my disc freezes

I got mine today in an Amazon box. Seemed like a nice sturdy little cube inside. Was surprised that theres lots of empty space inside 0_o.
The packaging left a lot to be desired for that high price point but I am excited to have the complete series to go through once my Christmas vacation kicks in.

Mine doesn’t have a problem there. Mine was skipping on episode 8 but then released there were some fingerprints on the disc from trying to get it out. Cleaned it up and played fine after

I geeked out a little when I realized that the real life address of the Palmer house is 708.

Is the plastic flap piece holding the Laura/Cooper cutout supposed to be removed? I was confused if it’s supposed to be removed or if it’s there just to keep it in place before you unbox it

I think it's supposed to keep it in place when the box is closed.

Thanks I figured out now that it’s a magnet. The flap on the bottom of the plastic was loose so the thing would just fly out when I tried to close it. Fixed that and now I get what’s going on. Very odd packaging lol. But I would expect nothing less from David

Some info from original press release says: Sitting in front of the red curtain will be an exclusive die-cut acrylic figure of Laura Palmer kissing Special Agent Dale Cooper. This acrylic figure comes inside a plastic display holder held in place by magnets. Fans will have the option of leaving the figure in place inside The Red Room environment or removing and displaying it elsewhere. The plastic holder can also serve as an easel to display individual images from The Red Room Gallery, a curated set of 5” x 5” printed cards depicting memorable moments in The Red Room
