No, but seriously, if they don't accomplish their task in the time required, I guess it would be possible. Hopefully it's on time this time, but if any lesson was learned, is that CD Projekt Red is at the mercy of the shareholders and their promises are just words that don't always hold true.

Their lesson as developers should be to never promise anything. Just say they'll do their best to meet the deadline or request.

This was I believe last E3.

We should be grateful CDPR is trying to make the best game possible instead of throwing out a rushed MTX Cash-grab. Ahem Avengers.. looking at you Square.

For those on PS5, I wonder if you pre-ordered through PS Store wether it shows a timer or not in “Your Collection”

I got a notification for the delay on "My" Pre-Order and then a follow up recently to say ignore that if you didn't purchase lol

Tbh, it's probably a bit bittersweet we can play this and also wait but it will be for the best in the Ultimate Version of Cyberpunk 2077 we end up with on console.

I want to know, if this does stay on the Dec. 10th release date should I hold off getting this for the PS5 cause people have been saying in this thread that the PS5 upgrade version won’t be released till next year even though (if they stay on Dec. 10th release date) that the PS5 version will be released on that date.

The PS5 'version' won't be on December 10th, much likely later next year.

I'm doing an initial run straight away, following one of the story arcs, then another arc when the patch is released

Yeah, it's an unannounced data sometime next year for the full on next gen upgrade.

That said, they did say it would run better on next gen hardware and higher end PCs. The delay was due to issues they were having with current gen consoles (probably more so the base PS4 and Xbox One rather than the PS4 Pro and Xbox One X).

I'll definitely play it at launch, but only on next gen consoles. I've got a PS5 order in at Costco that should come before it's out (hoping it ships soon) and a XSX on pending/backorder from Microsoft.com with a 12/23 estimated delivery date as a back up if the PS5 order gets canceled and I can't find one elsewhere. I want both consoles eventually anyway, so fine with whichever first with Cyberpunk as my most anticipated game this winter.

If you have been looking to truly play this game, there's no guarantee there was going to be a PS5 version till they said so and imo i'd play this happily even with "just" the PS4 Pro version and then i'd gladly want to replay it with the enhance test imo given it seems to branch out depending on choices.

Still have my 49.99 PS4 version pre ordered. Will play it updated on PS5, then will upgrade it to the PS5 version in 2021 whenever that happens.

"No chance in hell this game is getting delayed" CD Projekt Red said to paraphrase, and November 19th is only 3 days away from the failed release date. Still, better a game work than be broken at launch.

I plan on putting this game on PS5’s internal where it will stay.. forever.

New episode this Thursday. Cyberpunk stream.

I'm remaining hopeful there isn't even one noticeable bug when it finally launches. Because if or when there is one, CDPR will no doubt get crap for that, like they've received crap for the delays such is the way of things. Damned if they do, damned if they don't, etc

There will be some minor bugs for stuff that the "gamers tm" will rant about like it's some pile of poop like that Spongebob game I had as a kid that couldn't get past the beginning since it was broken.

Yeah I’m not expecting major bugs etc. Just hoping framerates are solid as drops drive me nuts. I’m guessing performance may be a bit rough on launch PS4 and Xbox One, but probably ok on PS4 Pro and Xbox One X.

They’ve said it’s fine on next gen hardware and I should have a PS5 from Costco soon (had 11/23 estimate, but support says they hope to ship soon). If that gets lost or something I still have an order in for an XSX from Microsoft with a 12/23 delivery estimate. The preauthorization charge hit my card and fell of again yesterday so looks like that order is good and just waiting on stock. Will cancel it if the PS5 shows up though as I don’t have time for both right now. Just trying to grab one now, preferably PS5 as there’s more I want to play on it currently, and the other later in 2021.
