Funny, Amazon misses a shipment by a day and there's pitchforks out, even though we all know they have verbiage in their user agreements excusing them as well.
I guess I feel the way I do because of the high price tag of their titles. If it was $20 I probably wouldn't feel the same way. Anyway, I would rather have gotten it elsewhere, but we didn't have a choice with The Beastmaster. Wicky must have family that work for them.

I received six emails from Vinegar this morning, one for each item I ordered.

I guess I should have known these kind of complaints would come eventually when people who don’t typically buy from boutique labels get lured over by a movie like The Beastmaster. Rest assured, people - this is par for the course. It always takes a few weeks for orders to go out after these sales. You’ll get your item; there’s no need for concern.

Not sure what the price of the item has to do with shipping. I spent like $400+ in the sale, including priority shipping, and mine hasn’t shipped yet either. It’ll still happen, it’s no big deal.

For some people the more money you spend the bigger of an ******* you can be when you realize your order is one of tens of thousands and they can't ship it as fast as you want them to.

I may be in the minority and I am not trying to throw gas on the fire, but when it comes to these types of pre-orders from boutique labels, my mindset is "it'll get here when it gets here."

I often pre-order vinyls from boutique labels as well, and it's the same thing. One day I get a pleasant surprise of a "Your item has shipped" email.

Even if I'd ignored everything I read when pre-ordering this title, their email made it pretty clear that it'd get here when it got here. Thank God I'm functionally literate & wasn't holding my breath.

Any company that packages my purchases with as much care and related materials as they do with every order, they can take their sweet time.

As a mater of fact, why not have a beer on me while you're at it.

That said, it is The Beastmaster so the shipping anxiety is perfectly understandable.

There are no words.

I mentioned a couple days ago when people started saying they got their shipment notification I hadn't yet. Glorious news for me I got my notification a couple hours ago.

My experience with VS has been positive. I had ordered a movie here or there before, but last February they had a sale launch at midnight where I bought multiple movies. Despite planning ahead, logging in right at launch time and taking less than 10 minutes to add all titles and go to checkout, one of the items was removed from cart as they ran out. I wrote an email saying "give a guy a chance" They responded and were still able to get the title for me. All this occurred in the very early morning hours. They ship in bubble wrap and hard boxes. I am inpatient for this title because I am excited for this title. Even if I hadn't got my notification today, I know I would get it in great shape and if it wasn't, they would find a way to take care of me.

It's not really a case of "It'll get here when it gets here" it's more of a case of "First come, first served".
HD said they charged him 2 weeks ago while my credit card was charged when Beastmaster was temporarily priced at $36.99.
It's also been said on here that VS subscribers would get served first and they issued us non subscribers $5.00 coupons for our patience.

It was 36.99 during the preorder period I believe. Everyone got $5 coupons. They are very transparent about their shipping practices and have excellent customer service so I don't really see what the issue is.

Wow, I wish I had such a small "To Watch" pile that I had nothing to watch and plenty of time to worry about when a new disc finally shipped. You guys need more movies!

Amazing packaging for sure. Really impressed. My copy arrived today, so I haven't watched it yet, but I couldn't be happier with the presentation. Cool stuff.

Got mine in today. Took me by surprise and I didn't even realize it was coming with such a premium package.

Watching it now, it looks rad. Super colorful, some gorgeous highlights, fire and a really cool texture.

No rough shots or damaged shots like previously mentioned? Let us know, thanks.

It opens with a disclaimer that they used the interpositive as the negative is believed to no longer exist. I don't really have the trained eye for it or the experience with this movie. Wasn't even aware of the concerns beforehand.

It's clearly not super ultra pristine OCN fine grain like we get from some 35mm UHD's and is quite chunky or almost worn at times, but it honestly took nothing away from the presentation for my taste. It really looks awesome, has a very high detail level and a nice grain structure. Doesn't seem to have any of the issues I see in more mainstream stuff that went with the IP's, or more well known releases that get debate and flack about optical shot cohesiveness, or any of the issues LOA has.

Color wise, I think it resembles their RAD release in terms of saturation and pop, but with more of a sun bleach, drive-in look that compliments the texture.

Someone else will be way more qualified, knowledgeable and into it than I am though.

I know about the issue mostly because Don Coscarelli was asking about on the social media, if anyone knew of an original negative. Clearly the search turned up nothing.

That's excellent.

Don't forget that it was a low-budgeted B-movie to begin with, with questionable FX shots from the beginning, so I think it's not inherent to the UHD presentation.

Thanks for posting the pictures. Happy to see that VS used the U.S. One Sheet poster art for the Blu-ray sleeve
