With how badly we see the NR managed between here, Mando S3, and the Bloodline novel, it's no surprise they fall to the FO at the beginning of TFA.
Look where her scar is. It's not in the middle of her body where her stomach would be. It's camera left.

Yes, I think it is rather well established that lightsaber wounds cauterize. That's why no spurting blood when Maul gets cut in half, Anakin or Luke loses a hand, etc.

So I see no issue with Sabine, if it missed major organs, and she clearly got medical attention quickly.

I think this is one of those things like certain criticisms of Kenobi - some people don't know Star Wars as well as they think they do, especially the OT.

My least favorite episode so far. Very slow pace in the first half and our heroes only seem to survive the starship chase, because the baddies are straight up incompetent. That's just not good writing imo.

Blood spray.

I don't remember if Lucas altered the effect in later releases from the argument that he didn't want human blood on screen in his SW films.

I agree that Marrok may be a big nothing in the end as far as theories and hype but the one advantage this has over the Sequel Trilogy and Snoke is that this is Filoni's child (for better or worse, I am a fan but know others aren't) All episodes are written by him and some will be directed by him whereas the ST had no blueprint, no singular voice or vision, Lady Kennedy hired writers and directors a la carte, which was just monumentally dumb.

, but I thought it was really cool. Nice to see something from the animated series make it into live action relatively well. I shudder to think of all the Mary Sue comments to come, but maybe, since Ahsoka is fairly well-liked as a character within the fandom, they'll go easy.
yes when I was watching it I immediately thought of the great episodes of the animated shows that did space battles this way, so while it was cool to see, I did imagine all those who may be complaining because they may have been unfamiliar with it having been done before.

Only a minor issue. The same with Andor. What's the deal with the blaster FX? Totally not SW. They sound terrible. Other than that, another great EP.

On Endor in Return of the Jedi, After they get ambushed by the stormtroopers Han says "I love you" to Leia and she replies "I know", Han holds up his hands and he has the blood of Leia all over his fingers.

So there will be blood, err I mean there was blood back in the 80s.

I thought episode 3 was fine. Better than 2 at least. It's good to see Hera's kid, at least we know he's about. Ok space fight, not sure why some people were fawning over it, It's pretty standard fair like we saw in Mando. I saw some comments online before I watched it so I thought the whole fleet was going into battle or something.

There was only one scene this week where it had the awkwardly stilted dialogue. It's always between Hera and Ahsoka only, no one else, it's bizarre. When each of them speak to anyone else it's normal, but when with each other the pace slows right down.

I hope they subvert expectations for once and Sabine never connects with the force. That would be an eye opener!

Love me a space battle, but that was probably the dullest one in Star Wars history. Going outside & fighting them off with a lightsabre was kinda cool & different though. (even if it was incredibly stupid if you think about it for more than a second)

Ahsoka's spacesuit helmet looked hilariously impractical to get on.

Anyone else think the planet with the red trees is very similar to the one at the beginning of Star Trek Into Darkness? Every time they show the cliffs & sea, I expect to see Kirk & Bones jumping off, or the Enterprise rising out of the waves...

This episode seemed to end rather abruptly, I looked and I'm like, that's it? At 31 minutes minus credits, it was definitely shorter then the 2 previous episodes.

Otherwise, I enjoyed it. They confirm Sabine is indeed not force sensitive (or at the very least, only minimally so) so it's an interesting choice to train her to be a Jedi. Or whatever Ahsoka has planned.

The NR continues to be arrogant fools who can't see the big picture. Nice to see Mon again briefly though. Senator Xiono is also a nod to Resistance since he's Kazuda's father.

Also cool to see Jacen briefly and that they kept the Legends spelling.

While definitely short, something about the episode gave me happy nods to the OT and PT. We didn't really get many of those space dogfights where the camera cuts between the heroes and villains in their respective cockpits in the ST, did we? Maybe one or two, but most of the space fights in the ST were a little one-sided. Something about it felt like old school Star Wars to me, I dunno.

That would be Ahsoka Tano, bringing her old Jedi Order with a splash of Anakin Skywalker flair to the Star Wars TV universe.

Pretty boring so far. It was good seeing these characters being brought to life but the novelty is wearing off.

I’m finding Ahsoka to be completely dull. Not sure if it’s the character being older and more mature or Dawson. Always liked the character in TCW and Rebels. And she seems to be sidelined by the other characters.

Lovey space/aerial battles in the latest episode though.

it's the directing. Ahsoka, Sabine, even Hera. NONE of them feel like their animated counterparts. They're dull and cardboard flat as if Filoni basically said "I want you to act like a greek stoic at ALL times"

The pilots in the attack ships face gear from this episode looks Neimoidian and so the circle they’re building must be one of their blockade ships with the big circle like in Episode 1. Clearly this means Marrock is Nute Gunray.

This is true, they just look the part, but they don't act like the characters from the previous show. I would even argue that Hera doesn't even look the part. She looks like a completely different Twi'lek wearing the same clothes

I don't care if the actors don't match the animated characterisation. Ahsoka is clearly made for a wider audience than Rebels or TCW.

I loved episode three, great to see a big space dogfight in Star Wars again shot in the "classic" style. And I felt this one was done extremely well. My big issue was how damn short the episode was, it ended and we were all like, "huh?!". There was very little progression here, however much fun it was.

The space whales/purrgil were absolutely fantastic. And honestly even though the show is titled Ahsoka, I have to say that Sabine is really coming across as the best part of it all.

I'd agree that these live action versions of the characters don't particularly feel like their animated counterparts - they are too stoic (although, it's worth remembering that Ahsoka was a teenager in The Clone Wars, but when we met her in Rebels she was a far more serious adult). But at this point it isn't really bothering me, this is a decade on from when we last saw them chronologically and a lot has changed in that time.

Haven't seen the animated shows, so I can't compare the live action characters to their animated counterparts.

My impression after three episodes, is that the female leads are written in a similar mold as so many other recent female SW, Marvel or Disney live action remakes characters; strong, independent, arrogant, no personal flaws to speak of and they certainly don't need anyone else's help, certainly not from especially men.

I think that some viewers are somewhat turned off by it, because they can appear cold and emotionless; as if they have no inner lives other than what they need to say or do to move the plot forward.

Sabine is definitely the most interesting - and also most annoying - so far of the three.

Great so far. Ep 2 (Part 2?) tonight. Sabine Wren rocks. Can't get enough of these Disney live-action Star Wars series. So glad when it appeared on my streaming device menu. I didn't know that Ahsoka's light-sabers are a neutral color since she is neither Jedi nor Sith. Cool!
