Best Buy still don't even have the US listing up for pre order.

Is it normally this late with Marvel films or is this just a post 2020 thing?

Currently 4K projectors have the issue that they can only accept 4K input at 60 Hz.

There are many 4K projectors being made that can still do 3D.

Its just a problem 'XPR' non native DLP projectors have as may of them make the faux 4k image by flashing a 1080p chip 4 times and they're locked at 60hz

Definitely a Disney covid era thing, hopefully it reverts back to 'normal' eventually because I prefer not waiting forever to find out if a movie will get a 3D disc

Best Buy has had several items in the last 6 months that weren't listed unitl 7-10 days before release date -- mostly Disney. A couple weren't able to actually be ordered until Wed Pre-release.

UK pre-orders are up and unsurprisingly they are all flat. Looks like we will have to hope for a Japanese release...

The Japanese UHD disc should be identical to the UK UHD, so if a 4K/3D/2D Japanese edition happens, the necessary translation subtitles should be on the UHD disc, like Black Widow:

The Japanese digital release has already been announced for November 12, with rentals beginning on December 10th, so the later date could well be the physical release date in Japan:

They only want them in the non-english dialogues.

The disc has an all or nothing approach to English subtitles. You either have to have them on for the whole movie or turn them on for the parts in Russian.

Shang-Chi will potentially be a lot worse in this regard due to having a lot more non English dialogue.

Thank you. I was not aware of that and find it disappointing.
I expect Shang-Chi will be the same then. Though as it has larger pieces in Mandarin, it may make more sense to turn subtitles on and off throughout the movie.

Yes, if a 3D disc is released, it will almost certainly have only a domestic language package, which for Disney Japan means English and Japanese audio and subtitles only.

I'll buy it, but not the steelbook, like as i did with Black Widow... DHL card envelope doesn't give steelbooks many safety for dents.

YES! Disney Japan continues to support the MCU on 3D Blu-ray! I’ve no doubt now that they’ll release Eternals and other Phase 4 films on 3D Blu-ray as well.
