Trailer music is mostly used for promotion of the film. There are in rare occasions where the trailer music ends up in the film. Like the 1st Harry Potter movie's trailer music ended up as Hedwig's Theme for the HP series. John Williams was asked to create trailer music for the film but it immediately became so popular that they decided to use it in the film and the rest is history.

[Show spoiler]She didn't get apprehended though, otherwise she'd be in a jail cell before the credits roll and during the time of Infinity War.

I don't really need either code tbh.

Just watched this in 4k, great flick. Loved the smaller, more intimate story, good chemistry between the cast, one of my fave MCU scores

I really loved the score as well, and the mix when listening to it separately is a lot different, the choral side is much more played up. I'm glad they went full Russian on it, definitely makes it stand out.

Just did some quick comparison of the DV stream and the disc HDR10. On my ZD9, the DV looks better. Blacks are little bit more deep. Less blooming. Highlights show more details. This is pretty much the same story with most DV streams Vs. HDR10. Such a shame Disney has stopped doing DV.

I have a question that hopefully someone can help me with because it's been bothering me for awhile, but I'm almost never on the message boards to ask. Both Black Panther and Black Widow are listed on here and other sites as being native 4K presentations. However, I work at a movie theater and both were 2K DCPs (digital cinema package). DCPs come directly from the DI (as far as I know) and, in every other case, have always matched (2K DIs are 2K DCPs are upscaled 4K discs; 4K DIs are 4K DCPs are native 4K discs). So, would Disney really downscale 4K DIs to 2K for the DCPs and then use the 4K DI to create native 4K discs, or is this simply misinformation being constantly recycled across multiple sites? At first I thought I had misremembered Black Panther (despite no other MCU film being native 4K), but I doublechecked when the film was re-released post-COVID and, sure enough, it was 2K. And, the Black Widow DCP was still in my system when the disc hit and that was definitely a 2K DCP. It just seems odd that Disney would go through all that trouble, making me believe that these are, in fact, both upscales mislabeled as native. Can anyone confirm or deny this?

Looks like the IMAX enhanced versions of nearly every Marvel film (no spidey) will be made available exclusively on Disney+ starting this coming week:

https://www.engadget.com/disney-plus...140016192.html

I know it'll never happen, but I'd re-buy all of them in a heartbeat if Disney were to issue the shifting ratio versions on UHD.

Baby step but besides Sony and Philips, most of the TVs don't support DTS. Most streaming devices don't support DTS as well. Does this mean the audio will default to Atmos?

Looks like Atmos will be there.

As if keeping Dolby Vision and the "Assembled" making-ofs exclusive to streaming wasn't good enough.

Disney are straight up punishing you for buying the physical release, by giving you an inferior product in almost every why(bar compression I guess).

Yeah it’s not a good look, but what can you do? If we stop buying Disnee UHDs then they’ll have no hesitation in ditching discs full stop. This way they can gouge people with a monthly fee as well as buying the discs!

Personally speaking I’m not filled with nerd rage right now as I’ve got most of these on 3D Blu with the VAR, and couldn’t honestly care about Endgame and IW as they look like TV shows with the mattes permanently opened up. But it’s just another thing that’ll get the screen-filling crowd all excited and give them even less reason to buy any Marvel gear on disc, as this will shirley set a precedent for Eternals and folk will know to avoid the disc if they don’t want those nasty black barses, precious.

I too have all of the 3D disc (aside from Black Widow because $70 Japanese imports is where I draw the line) but, alas, no direct means of viewing them outside of my BenQ projector.

The X900F, while great, won't even accept the 3D signal for 2D playback.

Ditto for Widow, I'd buy a UK 3D Blu no problem but that JPN edition is far too much. When the time comes to consign my current TV to that great scrap heap in the sky then yeah, those 3D Blus are gonna be useless but I'll hold on to them just in case 3D displays get revived in years to come. If I was really desperate I'd get a HD Fury or some such HDMI spoofer to trick the OPPO into outputting 3D, the awesome thing being you can just turn off the 3D during playback on the OPPO.

Speaking of which, I wonder how much HDR will help Eternals, because it's just fugly in SDR.

It’s getting harder and harder to justify these purchases for me. I love supporting the physical medium for the better audio and video compression, but the premium we pay for these discs means we should get all of this stuff upfront. I get it, makes sense, they want to reel you into their forever subscription. But damn it’s frustrating having this hobby sometimes.

I’m not even against Digital, I use both daily. I just think disc should be the premium experience. Ugh. It makes me feel like I should just sell my shit and watch everything on my phone lol.

Oh yeah that’s right. There’s that near hour long making-of for Black Widow that isn’t on the disc release
