I've been waiting for For Me And My Gal to price drop. Maybe tomorrow for Gene Kelley's birthday?

Think the price drops are done by an algorithm.

Yes, they actually use your camera to scan facial recognition. When your eyes turn away from the screen, then they lower the price. When you are eyes look back at the screen they raise the price.

What does the former Vice-President of the United States have to do with this (beside him being the inventor of the internet)?

As the inventor he gets a cut of all online sales. That's a secret deal he struck with American businesses.

Me and my gal will no longer be a me and my gal if I keep spending on movies.
The girlfriend is really keeping a close eye on me.

look likes the final 2 Thin Man movies continue to go up and down on a daily basis. The Song of the thin man was $8.99 yesterday and today it is $11.99. Thin Man comes home is now $8.99.

Now if they only reduced the price of the other four

I keep wanting to pick up the Thin Man movies, but I am expecting them to bundle all the Thin Man movies together like they have done with the Hitchcock titles.

For what it's worth, they haven't produced any multifilm sets since that Hitchcock release almost 2 years ago, and that was before the WAC shakeup. The most recent release with even two films, not counting the Tex Avery shorts, was the Val Lewton Double Feature (The Ghost Ship / Bedlam) from last fall, which has both films on a single disc.

I thought George explicitly said no more box sets. No?

Would also love a boxed set (once owned the 8 film DVD set from the mid-2000s), but it seems unlikely it will happen - in the near future, at least.

8 films? I thought there were only 6?

Indeed, six films, plus a pair of docs on Loy (from 1990, directed by Richard Schickel and narrated by Kathleen Turner) and Powell (2004 or 5, narrated by Kevin Kline). Recall there also being an episode of the late-50s TV show (Peter Lawford and Phyllis Kirk as the leads), as well as the Lux Radio broadcast.

One of the discs had as an extra Jules Dassin's 1941 adaptation of The Tell Tale Heart, which I kept going back to.

It was a nice set.

Brother's Grimm dropped to 14.90, almost as good as the last drop.

Thanks all! Here's some links and a few others. Prices are, as usual, temporary.

Revising this as ZIEGFELD has dropped and also added in CAREY TREATMENT.

$7.90 $11.30 $11.49

$12.49 $12.60 $13.10
