thats why you wait and hope that once the week comes that they go to 50+% off that you grab up stuff.

thats what I did with compusa

Noticed your from Corpus Christi. I visited one of the stores yesterday and was charged 5 dollars to go in. I laughed at the guard and walked away. Ridiculous.

Went last night 10 minutes before they closed, and was stopped at the door telling me they were closed. Asked what time they closed and was told 9, looked at the time, it was 8:50. Told the guy, "No wonder ya'll went bankrupt, hopefully Best Buy is open", and left. They still don't even want my money.

Thumbs down Don't bother

Looked at their prices and walked out.

By the time they have anything on a decent sale, there won't be any titles worth buying left.

wow..sympathetic. i'm so glad i'm done with retail, can't stand people like you who think you're owed the world.

they're going out of business..why would they care if they got your money or not? they're losing their jobs..why would they care that you want to waste their time so close to closing?

Agreed. I might walk through once more later this week, the 'sale' is just ridiculous.

I went there for kicks today. The store was as crowded as I've ever seen it, yet nobody was buying anything. The prices were a joke, as expected.

The only difference I saw was they stamp your hand on the way in at stripper clubs and your receipt 'All Sales Final' at the liquidation sale. Everything else in between was for the sake of doing it

It's symptomatic of how that Circuit City was before they closed down. They would never have anybody in the store to help you, I asked them once if they had more of an item in stock because the shelf was empty, they looked at the shelf and said no. I asked them if they had more in the back, and he said no without even looking. When you go to checkout there wasn't even checkout lanes open you had to go to the customer service line which was always long. If you needed help getting something down off a high rack they pointed to a ladder.

I also would have been done shopping long before the 10 minutes they would have closed would have been up. If I wasn't there for a single simple thing, I wouldn't have been pissed. I just wanted to run in, grab a new keyboard and run out. I didn't think I was owed the world, just that they stayed open until the normal scheduled closing time. I've worked retail before, and I would never EVER turn a customer away until the clock said it was past closing time. I don't care how tired of pissed off I was, a customer is still a customer. I've worked Christmas Day itself, and we were supposed to close at 12:00, we were still letting people in at 12:10-12:15. I guess that's the difference between a good employee and a bad one though. *shrug*

haha..well it is annoying finding employees like that, kinda funny when you think about it tho. and trust me..nobody hated circuit city more than me. it just seems like people are expecting so much from them right now..doesn't make any sense.

hope you didn't get the wrong idea from my post tho..it wasn't a cut against you, i should have clarified

Nope I havent saw one deal yet! All they are asking is 10% off on their HD's and they wont even drop the prices for their display models! I asked the sales guy about it and he said the prices will drop from week to week and its the liquidators that are setting the prices not them. But even with the prices drops at 10% they aint selling anything as far as their HD tvs are concerned. I will see what happens during the first week of Feb what the prices are.
