I thought the action sequences were masterfully choreographed and filmed, and Bane dies perfectly. Batman already showed he was the true master, and Bane was going to kill him when he was stabbed. Why would Batman need to fight him again to show he was the master? It was perfect to have Selina come in and just blast him.

Movie was incredible, best in the series IMO.

Still available at the website. I think most of the bids your seeings are people outside the US who can't buy it from BestBuy.com

Not all of locations have been updated. Several locations said in stock, but when you called in, it was sold out.

It's not a plot hole, it's a detail you are overlooking.

I can understand if the conversation gets extremely out of hand and uncivil, but really, the debate only takes up about one page in this thread. All you have to do is either avoid the thread or scroll past those posts. I do it all the time when about a hundred people post that their copy shipped or didn't ship.

43.64% of 165 minutes is closer to half than 3/4.

It is noticeable, although I prefer Bale's Bruce to his Batman (can't stand the TDK/TDKR Batvoice). TDK really dropped the ball in focusing so much on other characters instead of giving better focus to Bruce. I really enjoyed Bale's performance in this one. There was a passion in his eyes that we didn't see last time around. This was a return to his BB form. He seemed to be going through the motions for most of TDK, and I don't blame him given how the script so heavily focuses on the Joker and Dent.

I like that and I'm sure it was purposeful. The movie is about Bruce finding himself again.

Granted it wasn't the majority of pages, but word is that there were 8 pages of production pictures in addition to the 32 page comic, right (someone please post a correction if I've got those numbers wrong)? Did you miss those because you were so turned off by the comic? Your posts are unfortunate because some folks are taking them as straight news, which they're not. You don't have to like the Target DigiBook, but maybe some editing, spellchecking and accuracy would be nice. Personally, I thought it looked great in the video.

Regarding about the Bat.

[Show spoiler]Theres a part after Talia dies when Catwoman asks Batman about how he's going to fly the Bat, he replies quickly by saying "autopilot". It was so fast most people might have missed that part. So I'm guessing when he flew by the buildings and it exploded with a dust of smoke, he ejected in some of break away capsule like how the Batbike came out of the Tumbler. It's probably like the original Batman where the Penguin was controlling the Batmobile in a mini Batmobile. Anyway I think Batman was in the the miniBat plane or whatever controlling the Bat as it exploded.
He actually says "No autopilot."

EDIT: I see its already been addressed lol

Is that Tom Hardys real voice and accent? Or he was just acting?

I honestly wonder the source some people are using and their seating distance. Maybe its possible that its just more noticable on my TV. I will try rewatching in the bedroom on the 46" that is about 14' away, although that is way beyond the recommended viewing distance. To be fair, I also did not watch the whole movie yet. I only got to the wall street chase scene.
Finally someone agrees with me!!

I was actually surprised how poor some of the 35mm shots looked. In fact, some of the IMAX shots are far from reference!

That's how the 35mm stuff looked in theaters. Take it up with Nolan

so i have a question that has been bothering me about this trilogy.. i love it to death however something always bothers me when i watch them, maybe i missed something so hopefully someone can answer my question.. Okay so in Batman Begins we see a run down Gothem looking very "batmanish" which was cool, then in the Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises that world just disappears and we see a clean city with zero run down elements.. did they ever explain this in the sequels?

I am proud to say that I am not one of those people. That's not to say that I can't enjoy a movie with plot holes, but I do care.

That's kind of an underlying theme in the series - that Gotham could be saved, could be brought back to the gleaming state it was in when Bruce's parents were alive - and did not need to be destroyed as the League of Shadows wanted. Bruce's whole motivation was the belief that people could elevate their lives & surroundings if they had a symbol that was uncorruptable to give them hope. They had that, first with Batman and then with Harvey Dent.

In TDK no, not really. In TDKR I think you can assume that the impact of the Dent act has had some affect on the overall state of the city.

But that's one thing that's kind of bugged me too. In Begins, Gotham was really made to be its own city . . . you had the big metropolitan area contrasted with the run-down Narrows, which last we heard were "lost", and that idea was never revisited. But (at least I couldn't) you really couldn't look at it and say, oh they shot that in XX. The elevated train added another point that kind of made it look unique. In TDK Gotham was VERY easily recognizable as Chicago and in TDKR even more recognizable as NYC in many parts (especially with the damn Empire State Building and Freedom Tower that stick out like sore thumbs), and they didn't really do anything to try to make it look like anything other than Chicago and NY.

yep, i mean it didn't take anything away from the franchise for me, i just always figured what happened to that gotham look.. the train leading in the Wayne tower was destroyed so maybe they just took it down but the who slums just disappeared.. made no sense at all
