Amazon CA is scoring high with me at the moment. Received 3 Steels and the Scream Collection all in mint condition and 5 day delivery to Australia. Also tried out a new camera setup and the pics came out pretty well!

Apparently the PQ is a little so-so on the Scream Trilogy but from the screenshots I've seen it's certainly reasonable and to have the trilogy for $17.50 + delivery is fine by me, especially when my DVD versions got stolen years back.

Watched: The Wild Bunch
I wonder how many horses had their legs broken during the making of this movie... damn they went through some hard stunts! Luckily the days of real horses falling/tripping are over.

Watched: Scream.

Some parts have dated a fair bit (fashion anyone?) but it was still plenty enjoyable. I always found Wes Craven's approach to Scream to be ingenious and it still works.

Spec-wise on the disc the PQ was OK. It looks fairly comparable to the AU disc from what I've seen but to me it didn't appear to have as much of a boosted contrast. It just seemed a little flatter and a little darker but I actually found that to be a positive as it looked pretty natural. There's Edge Enhancement present but it wasn't in heavy amounts, at least not as heavy as some titles. Sound-wise the DTS-HD MA track was quite nice. It isn't a particularly exciting or solid mix. It sounds like your standard mid-nineties basic mix - fairly front centric and not particularly heavy on the low end. Still, the surrounds got a little bit of a workout and the lossless was nice, particularly on the songs of the soundtrack.

All in all a mid-range release - not great, but not terrible. Considering I got all three for such a cheap price I am not complaining. Assuming 2 & 3 are as good or better than 1 I will be more than happy.

Just scored Lost in Space for a massive $3.95. A guilty pleasure for sure but Gary Oldman rocks and hey, Heather Graham in a spacesuit.

Got it for such a low price by signing up at moviesplus.com.au. First 200 people get a $10 voucher and it's free delivery. Signed up a little while back but their titles are quite expensive. Finally found one I wanted tonight for a good price.

I believe that is the Canadian release, you can see French writings (Frissons..) on the cover. Amazon Canada had it for $17.49 last week, link here, but it is now back up to $27.99

Thanks. It's just the lower model Canon DSLR but it does the job!

It's the Canadian version of Scream as sschen said. I scored it when it was $17.50 so my order of the three steels and the Scream Collection cost less than $100 delivered. Very nice price for 6 films including 3 steels of films I love.

Watched: Despicable Me in 3D. Quite awesome, onbe or two kind of gimmicky moments, but they where done in such a way that didn't take away from the film (and felt a natural part of it).
