Great selection. Must pick up Comfort and Joy before the slipcover sells out.

You may already know this but Network Britsh Film Collection releases are always initially cheapest to buy direct from their website than other online retailers.

It was my birthday a couple of days ago;
[Show spoiler]

Selection of stuff from my generous family;

Everything apart from "The NeverEnding Story" was received on the day, it was ordered with some birthday money last night. Getting the Voyager series DVDs means I now have all the Star Trek series on at least DVD, most on blu-ray. Only missing the Animated series, I was going to order the DVD set but I think I'll wait and see if we get an individual release for that (it's coming out soon in a TOS boxset).
The Ghibli & Miyazaki films brings me up to 18 blu-rays +1 DVD (Ocean Waves), only need 4 more to have all the Ghibli films. Once "When Marnie Was There" is released, I'm hoping StudioCanal will release "Ocean Waves". It has releases in other countries, but unfortunately the lack of English dub seems to be holding back a UK release.

Yeah I actually prefer the reverse cover for Day of the Outlaw!

What are the extras on The Human Condition? Trying to decide whether I need to buy it straight away or can wait 'til Christmas...

I believe it's the following

• High Definition Blu-ray (1080p) and Standard Definition DVD presentations

• Original Japanese mono soundtrack (uncompressed PCM on the Blu-ray)

• Optional English subtitles

• Introduction to the film by critic Philip Kemp

• Selected-scene commentary by Philip Kemp

• Theatrical trailers

• Booklet featuring archival interview with director Masaki Kobayashi, and a scholarly essay discussing post-World War II Japanese culture

How long is the Kemp intro? Seems a little light this one, even compared to the Yoshida set. I was really hyped for it when it was first announced, but the lack of extensive extras means I'm a little reluctant to hand over £40 straight-up (£13.33 each for near-barebones, even if they're quite long films). Does the press release say how many pages in the booklet?
