I guess it looks alright overall. Actually haven't watched this since the DVD days. Remember it sounding bad and not even being able to tell what was said much of the time with the killer. Has the sound improved since the DVD days? At least enough where you can easily make out what is said? Haven't watched the CR blu, so don't know what that one sounds like even.

Okay, well I jumped the gun, and I’m gonna side with Brad on this one. I will spin the UHD (it’s arriving today) after all. The thing that might benefit me is that I hate HDR. Turned it off on my TV because I couldn’t stand what it did to movies that support it.

Sorry Doc, but you come on here to thoroughly trash the UHD release and you only watched the first 10 minutes? That's just not right, seriously.

We're friends and I'm not trying to start anything, but that really threw me.

I have no idea about your system and calibration, but the UHD vs. blu-ray comments make me curious about your 4k display.

I wasn't going to bother with an upgrade, so I may never know , but the David M. encode has me intrigued, so maybe.

This morning I tried turning off the HDR on both my TV and my 4K UHD player... and the picture on NGM did get significantly better.

Also... per your above comment... I perused the rest of the feature and the blue does seem to dissipate further into the runtime...

It doesn't change the fact that it is really blue towards the beginning when HDR is enabled... I was not wrong about that... Brad even admitted as much in his comment on Discord.

So with that being said... I admit that, while the color timing for the first 10 or so minutes might not be my cup of tea while HDR is enabled, the release is solid otherwise from a PQ/SQ standpoint.

I will be keeping this release and probably just not watching it in HDR when I view the 4K UHD version... which is a pain in the ass because you have to go into the settings of both devices and manually turn it off.

However... that doesn't change the fact that both an insider and his lap dogs have insulted me... and not just in the last day or so... on multiple previous occasions... there are ways to interact with people maturely and ways not to...

So this will be my last post on this thread... the toxicity here is just too much.
Thanks for the reply.

The small irony is I wasn't planning on upgrading this marginal film, but now I think I will just to see with my own eyes.

See you on the many other threads!

May 31st, we're getting a new set of announcements. Curious to see what we might end up with. Hoping for a 2005-2020 recent horror title (been digging these ones from TV), a tape remaster horror, and something unusual I would never have dreamed of.

I think we shouldn't post any announcements here until Brad comes back. Total blackout. We Want Brad!

There'll be a Graveface release, something from "the vault" and a bunch of terrorvision titles, among other announcements?

I believe it was confirmed there will be 1 or 2 more modern titles.

And with all of the snide attitude, condescension, and insolence many of us have come to expect from him. It's funny... several thread regulars were just discussing this a few pages back... and I actually kind of tried to come to his defense... but now I don't know why I did... here's the proof.

Maybe it's good he's gone on his way... less arrogance on these threads is always a good thing.

And frankly... I think I'm on my way too. The amount of pushback and garbage I've gotten from just trying to honestly help folks out on this thread... there are plenty of other threads I can post on where I don't get insulted by insiders and the off-site chatroom cronies who gate-keep for them.

I will say that many of you have been great... and there are several I do call friends... but I can chat and have civil discussions with you on other threads other than this one.

Furthermore... going forward... I'm only gonna grab titles that I really feel are essential from this label... and if/when I do... I'll go third party through a boutique.

Sorry to be this way... especially to all of you who have been great... but I'll stick to other label threads going forward.

Take care.

P.S. - I have Samsung & Sony equipment...

Terror Vision and Brad do not deserve your money or support.

Dude may love movies and be smart as a whip when it comes to the more obscure stuff, but it doesn't help much when he is an emotional tool who should be strictly behind the scenes and have someone with the proper skillset to deal with customers.

My BD of Popatopolis arrived today.

I've never ordered from TV before; I was impressed. Great communication, well packaged to prevent damage during shipping.

Some of you were never fans of Code Red, Dark Force or Massacre Video and it shows. MV are the only ones who repelled me to the point I'll never buy from them again.

For the record I always thought Brad was solid.

Which is why the MV thread is a barren wasteland with a whole month since the last post. Their "media relations" person all but disappeared many months ago.
