Target also has a buy 2 get 1 free on physical media.

My Twin Peaks collection finally arrived today from Amazon. I had that thing pre-ordered since the beginning and they took forever in fulfilling. Granted, I did use a $30 AGC on it to reduce the final price but still.

Leaving for St. Louis at 9:30 AM to see my pain management doctor; it has been a month and three days since he did a second Radio Frequency Neuroablation on my spine. Specifically, he burned the small nerves at the L4-L5/ S1 vertebrae.

The problem is that it did not work very well this time around. My lower back still causes me substantial pain on a regular basis. Hopefully, he will have some answers for me.

Today is my 18th medical appointment so far this year and the last one for March. I am averaging an appointment every 5 days at this rate. They should give reward points usable for free elective procedures like cosmetic plastic surgery or a gilded bedpan or something

Any CA USA resident purchase a EST title since Jan 1, 2025? If so, did the seller make it clear that you were purchasing a license of limited duration, and to separately provide the terms of that license?

Although most Canadians believe that the loss of our multicultural identity and sensitivity to senseless violence are the worst parts of the coming annexation, on a practical level, I'm also concerned about the loss of our medical system.... and the pension system that I've paid into since I was 16 years old...

Honestly, the only thing that's delusional here is all the tough talk I keep hearing from my fellow Canadians... I never thought I'd live to see the day when my customers were actually happy to hear that their product was made in China.. in some instances they are paying more to avoid the US product...it's foolishness, but the relationship between Canadians and Americans is now irreversibly damaged... this locomotive is set in motion and will only pick up steam until invasion actually becomes your only option..

I do not know how my comment about my latest medical adventure segued into your reply, but I certainly hope that your fears do not come to pass. Your home is, and should remain, free.

When Canada decides to invade, please go directly to Mar-a-Lago and save us all.

In happier news, my subwoofer shipped today. Tracking does not show an ETA yet, though.

That's funny.

Today's UHD purchase with the catchy price of 17.76.

Yesterday's UHD order

(Peter Rabbit had a surprize coupon on Amazon for $4.50 off so it was $8.99. I think this was OOP or maybe still is.)

Sorry..buried in my rant is my concern for the loss of our medical system. My wife is the one that keeps up more with family and friends but it seems to me that everyone she speaks to down there is contending with some medical issue that seems to always be compounded by money or bureaucratic hoops dealing with insurance companies... things that are completely foreign to the rest of the civilized world.

Thankfully, we're relatively healthy right now... but we are getting older and each annual checkup leads to more scrutiny from a "specialist"...wait times could be better, but I find that they get adjusted due to the severity of the issue. I had to wait about 3 weeks to have a shoulder looked at after complaining about it 2 years ago. This year my blood pressure was elevated and my cholesterol continued to be out of whack despite a diet overhall from last year. I was booked in to have the complete workup within 2 days (treadmill, 24hr cuff, heart imaging) ...results came back clean within a couple of days...started on a low dose statin and will redo all the blood work in July..Money or bureaucracy never entered into it... Much simpler issues seem to result in much more headaches (with worse outcomes) from my wife's family and amerifriends..all of whom are insured up to the hilt..

My mother in law told us last night she will no longer be able to receive the medication helping save her vision due to funding cuts made by you know who. The worst part, people chose this…

I believe we have a good group here and do not want to see anyone get banned so I will post a couple of rules from here.

General rules
  • No politics or religion: you are only allowed to discuss religion and politics when it is the main topic of a specific movie. Keep in mind that all people are different and have different beliefs, so be respectful to each other. Stay on topic and make sure what you say is directly related to the movie.
  • No social justice crusades, either pro or con. No debates about the behavior of persons whom a company or label employs, retains or associates with, or whose work it publishes. This site is for the discussion of Blu-ray discs, standard and 4K: their release, contents, quality and presentation. (We also have sections for DVD and streaming content, to which this same rule applies.) If you disapprove of a content provider’s conduct or politics, feel free to boycott the relevant thread by not posting in it. Kindly save any form of “culture wars” for social media.

I watched my Hardware 4K disc last night - from Umbrella Entertainment. It's one of the best 4K releases of the year, IMO.

Received my CC, A24, and Vinegar Syndrome orders yesterday, so I will be busy for quite a while!

Yeah, the mods banned a forum friend of mine for politics discussion two weeks ago, best to avoid it, even though it’s very understandable with emotions so high.

Still waiting for Melusine to have a decent month, I have the money but no reason to spend it with them with all the double dips.
