For a horror/dark western themed double bill, I recommend Brimstone.

And got these from GameFly used:

I really wish that I liked the new MAD MAX movies more than I do as they both are pure A/V nirvana...I only recently upgraded the first movie as the BD had the same ATMOS track that I've used to evaluate changes in my setup.. I've seen the first 7 minutes of that movie a million times... true story- I was a bit underwhelmed with the second fur the first few minutes until I realized that might right channel was missing...I thought I had blown it out until I crawled behind my screen to find that a piece of old ceiling tile had shaken loose because bass and knocked the banana plugs clear out..lol...

I don't really know my dad well... really at all...but when I watch THE DEERHUNTER and now THE BIKERIDERS.. I feel that I understand him... amazing what film can do..

Have that one, really wanted to hang The Reverend. Thought Guy Pearce played the role well.

Aren't DVDs and Blu-Rays no longer printed in the US? They're all done in Mexico (or in Paramount's case, Germany).

When making movie recommendations you really should provide the clickable thumbnail image of the disc that is a direct link to the blu-ray.com product page for that title, such as:

and

Make it easy for us to find out more about the movie, to spend our money, and to support physical media all at the same time. You guys are both longtime blu-ray.com members, so providing these clickable thumbnail images should be reflexive by now.

The next time that I get an itch for westerns, I might buy these... thereby assuring their release on 4K disc a short time later.

Anyone watched Kraven the Hunter in UHD with Atmos sound? If so, thoughts on the sound track.

I watched the BD but it was only 5.1 audio. Not sure why the price on this title is quite a bit above average.

[Show spoiler]
It being a steelbook probably adds $5-$10 to the price.

Here are my latest additions:

I heard that the old MGM blu-ray was pretty bad even for an early blu-ray, so hopefully this upgrade fixes that problem.

My 28 year-old flipper disc DVD just barely plays and shows some real funky degradations, so this was an overdue replacement.

x 2
I bought an extra copy to give as a gift to my medical chauffeur; I got him the first four seasons, so I had to finish what I started.

On the digital side I added The Beekeeper 4K for $5 and Heretic 2024 4K for $9.99.

I do not know how to show clickable thumbnails for digital titles, so too bad. Just go buy the discs; I will also if I like these after watching them.

Really good movie, I hope you like it.

This should be the link to the UHD BD version ...

https://shop.a24films.com/products/h...40549046353969

You may have to select the UHD BD edition on the pull down menu.

It's often easy to miss the old packaging with UHD, BD and Online copy or BD, DVD, and Online copy. I kind of think those days are gone.

I gave the Blu Ray copy I bought of the Heretic to my daughter because I thought she would like it and it didn't come with the online copy also.

I must have stared into the sun before I wrote my post; I just did not see that 4K disc listing.

I am glad that I bought the digital copy, anyway, as I share access to my digital collection. It's nice to know (finally) that it is available on 4K disc.

I bought the digital copy, too.

Criterion, like pretty much all boutique labels that license their titles from the studios that own them, does not include digital copies with their discs.

Snagged these three as part of the Buy 2 get 1 free sale on Amazon.

Watched Gretel & Hansel and it was awesome. Makes a great double feature with The Green Knight. It was also shot in 1.56:1, 1.78:1, and 2.56:1.
