No I mean to ship. It has free shipping. I had it shipped to me, arrived really quickly. If you want it that bad you can certainly wait the extra 3 days for it.

I was pretty disappointed with the Reborn doc. It's basically 35 minutes' worth of clips from the existing features for all three movies, tied together with a voiceover. There's virtually nothing new in it. If you've watched all the BD extras for Begins, TDK, and TDKR, then you've seen pretty much everything in Reborn. "Exclusive," my ass.

I saw pics of the best buy steelbook opened, with the same plain discs as my Cowl edition. So why doesn't the steel from best buy have the same discs as the exclusive trilogy, and where is the documentary when you buy the steel?
The documentary is in the Special Features disc and I think it was the last feature on there. Started watching it last night after we finished the movie.

I guess I didn't need to redeem the code to watch online, as I thought this was the only way to see it. Picked up another copy of the steel yesterday for my daughter's boyfriend and got another code. It rang up as $15 and the guy on the register said it wasn't on the disc. We checked our copy as soon as we got home and saw he was incorrect.

There was a passion in his eyes that we didn't see last time around. This was a return to his BB form. He seemed to be going through the motions for most of TDK, and I don't blame him given how the script so heavily focuses on the Joker and Dent.
Yeah, that's something that became painfully evident after rewatching TDK right before TDKR's release last July. Bale is a terrific actor, but he's practically sleepwalking in that movie. Maybe it's because he didn't have much of an arc in the film and he felt the role was kinda one-note. Or maybe he knew Ledger's Joker(and even Eckhart's Dent) was something he could never compete with. And yes, the Batman voice was horrible in TDK. I little better in TDKR, but his best performance in the suit was in Batman Begins.

Watched this last night, and must say the Audio was quite dissapointing. Extreme LFE/Bass yes, but very poorly balanced IMO. This is the same as I remember from seeing it at the Theatre this summer, way to low dialogue/regular audio, and way too loud action sequences.

Usually have my Pre set at around -4 to -6 db on dts hd ma soundtracks, here I had to go all the way down to -14 on some of the loudest sequences, and at -14 the dialog is LOW. Did not dare turn it up in between as I didnt remember when any loud parts was coming..

Not good me thinks..

Another reason Batman Begins remains my favorite of the trilogy. I loved the look of Gotham in that movie. It used Chicago as a backdrop, but then added additional buildings, the train, and the Narrows. TDK just used Chicago as is, while TDKR mixed NYC and Pittsburgh.

I always looked at this like they were really focused on creating a great BATMAN movie with Begins, so they really put that extra effort into it. I feel like TDK and Rises arent even Batman movies. They really seem like regular movies to me that happen to have Batman in them, but Begins is a Batman movie through and through in every way.

Begins will always be my favorite as well. And to be honest I really dont like Rises much. Its pretty good until when Batman is broken but then after that it turns into some really typical disaster movie. I cringe when that guy says get the president on the line then the jets fly by. What is this a Michael Bay movie? The whole thing just dies for me from that point on, becomes very dull and I cant even look at it like a Batman movie at all.

It's a good movie, just not a good Batman movie IMO.

Agreed! People who are giving it 5/5 are doing so with their hearts and not their minds. This disc isn't perfect by any means.

My friend who did not like TDKR said "that wasn't a Batman movie" when I asked him why. Batman definitely doesn't have a lot of screentime, especially given the overall length of the film which is over 2 1/2 hours even subtracting credits. I liked it a lot, but I do wish Nolan had gone in a different creative direction than having a broken Bruce Wayne needing 45 minutes to put on the suit again. This is only exacerabated by the fact that Bruce gets broken again 30 minutes later and needs nearly another hour before donning the suit once more.

As for the look of Batman Begins, Nolan reportedly sat down the crew before they began production and screened Blade Runner for them. He then told them that was how they were going to make their Batman movie. And it shows. The design of the city, especially the Narrows with the rain pouring down. It was oozing Blade Runner. There's nothing wrong with being inspired by Heat when making TDK. But one shouldn't be surprised when the end result is a crime drama that happens to feature a guy dressed as a bat and a nemesis in clown makeup. Same with TDKR which was based in part on A Tale of Two Cities. A fine piece of literature. But key characters disappear for a lot of chapters in that book before suddenly resurfacing, and the same thing happens in TDKR.

Thanks for that! Some complained that the redub was not as good as the original IMAX prologue. This proves that the redub is much better.

That $14.99 was supposed to vanish when the ticket was totaled (it should've showed a -$14.99 at the bottom as if a discount code had been applied). If not, I hope you go back and get your money back. The UV code is on a slip inside the case and Reborn is on the disc - as you know. Obviously, "the guy" didn't know what he was talking about. The $15 was only a charge for pre-orders so you could watch Reborn (and sometimes the movie) before the release date - and even then it was supposed to be a "down payment" on the cost of whichever set you were buying. Not all clerks are created equally.

I didn't have any problem with the audio. In fact, it was so great, I turned it up even louder!

We're showing The Dark Knight Rises in the Booth Bijou Garage Theater next Saturday. I'm really looking forward to seeing it again! My only concern is the runtime. We might need to pause the movie more than once for a comfort break!

I went to two different Best Buys in my area (McAllen), and they were sold out of both the trilogy and the steelbooks...however, in the second store I visited, I was able to find a steelbook and bought it. I had already ordered one online, just to be safe, but yesterday when I tried ordering the trilogy with the extra doc, I had to cancel the order because there was none available to ship.

I went to Target and saw they had a lot of digibooks. Went to Walmart and had a lot of the trilogies (both DVD and blu-ray) and the regular TDKR blu-rays.
