Going on 5 days without internet, TV or phone at home...cable cut... been watching a few of my backlog titles including 2 new Cronenberg UHDs - THE BROOD and SCANNERS... absolutely fantastic discs... will probably have to rewatch THE FLY... anyone from Toronto has to side with the remake...LOL..

While I'm glad to have the boxset of HALLOWEEN and F13, I'll probably never watch anything other than the original of the former (and perhaps the RZ ones) and will never again venture past the 4th instalment of the latter..

The Village in 4K is one that definitely needs a better transfer. Great film with an outstanding cast!

The Accountant 2 was great! Watched it last night in Dolby Cinema. It will be mine on 4K disc. I think I'm going to watch the first one 4K disc today.


Snagged The Complete Entourage on Blu-ray the other day for $25 shipped from Amazon. Looks like the 3rd market sellers caught on and raised their prices. I also bought the rock band's rockumentary Welcome to The Darkness:

I have to be on the road by 6 AM tomorrow. Another looooong day at the hospital. 5-6 hours hooked to an IV plus another 5-6 hours of roundtrip travel time.

With the boycotting of american product, and things coming from across the pond seemingly getting hung up for various reasons, my new movies selection has slowed to a crawl

It's sometimes said that a bright side of getting older is you don't care what people think as much but I've noticed that pales in comparison to just how little other people think about you at all.

I applaud your boycott. The big danger that I don't think was factored in is when you try local you will discover it's better !

I hope the animosity between USA and Canada can go away and be forgotten soon.

It's a fine line...I applaud my family's spirit even as I, myself generally don't believe in going out of my way to support ANY cause....NETFLIX and my son's physical media procurement have been the only casualties this far...I still have PRIME via AMAZON even though I'm only restricted to buying anything not american... not all that hard..lol..

PARADIGM speakers literally grow on trees up here and are really available cheaper than dirt..Of all the expense that comes with adopting a newer sound format, finding tonally matched additional speakers is never an issue..I just go out in my backyard and dig a pair up...
