Oh wow. Did not really care for this film at all but I'd be willing to give it another shot. Of their somewhat recent releases I was hoping for a bluray of The Night Owl. Pretty solid thriller.

The second pressing, plain edition of Castaway on the Moon is back up for preorder on KimchiDVD, for those that missed the initial rerelease. Currently seems to be the only place to get it for the right price, because yukipalo still has the high price they had after the rerelease sold out.

I saw a couple reviews that have me intrigued. Absolutely love Sol Kyung-goo.
One of the best Korean actors, bar none.

Quite an entertaining spy action thriller. Nothing groundbreaking, but it does what it says on the box quite well. Would recommend.

Completely agreed about Sol Kyung-gu, one of my favourites!

I watched this one while I was taking a KE flight last year, the sound and pictures quality were limited but I am entertained. Interested to buy this one so I can watch it properly.

It is similar like Hateful Eight / Usual Suspect. All those characters are being throw together in a confined space and tried to outsmarted each others.

Hello, haven't replied to anything here in years and have been lurking but now I wanted to ask what happened to #67 and #68 of the collection? Are they developing them and just skipped to #69, and I know they've done this before in past years and returned to them later just want to know if anyone has an idea? And to contribute to the thread as a lurker lol here's my collection, I only kept the ones that I actually liked and sold the others throughout the years.

#67 was the Memories of Murder 4k. Came out in February. I don't think the have announced #68 yet. Not the first time a number has been skipped and released later.

I just got the the 4k release of MOM. I actually sold most of my Korean 1080p Blu-rays previously because I thought they would start reissuing the films in 4k, but it seems it may take a while.

I would love for them to at least start doing it for the Park Chan-Wook films. Steelbooks and whatnot editions would be amazing as well. Am I dreaming here or is there a possibility?

The former. 4K UHD for Korean films sadly just isn't a thing in the country yet, with only Plain Archive pretty much championing its local release.

blu-ray hardly took hold. DVD was quite visible, but i do remember a vague mention or article pointing out (back then) that cinema releases were so prolonged in korea that any possible stage after that was minimal. i'd guess that streaming took hold far more easily as a result, but that films will be just a part of what's available, so it's not an thing in it's own right. internationally, i'd expect leaps to better streaming services will now happen far more easily than shifts into a more substantial and interesting physical media market.
