So many of the Shout titles are all MGM licenses. This is standard operating procedure with them -- there comes a point in terms of time or copies sold when they want their "baby back" and can shop it around to another label. I don't know the particulars but it does seem MGM's contractual terms are shorter/more stringent than other studios who license out. Happens with all the film soundtracks they license too, and we've seen it with many Twilight Time titles that KL more recently picked up.

I can understand wanting to stick with the Scream releases because you're invested in their brand, but I wouldn't pay "top dollar" for some of those because I can see some/many of them certainly be picked up by another label.

Is little Shop of Horrors and Scrooge out of print from Legend films? They seem to be going for high prices

I'm glad you mentioned this, as I couldn't find it anywhere for that price. I'll have to act quick I guess...

That's right but it should be noted that a "regular" version is coming out in their shop to replace it (minus the bonus disc and the slipcover)

Yep, it's not completely out of print. It looks like the single-disc version is already available:

I still find it helpful to know when an LE goes OOP. Usually prefer to get those if I can.

Is the WB Point Break OOP? I saw that Amazon was sold out and only had private sellers... Just curious.

Even if it is, that's a prime candidate for a future re-release via the Warner Archive Collection.

I agree, or I'm thinking this will get a 4K release.

I'd upgrade Point Break and Lethal Weapon to 4K if WB is going to make it happen...

I wouldn't count on Point Break getting a 4K and my understanding was the previous version of the 1987 Lethal Weapon was pretty mediocre, so I would imagine it would need a lot of work. As I said, have to believe WAC will re-release Point Break.

Looks like Kevin Smith's Red State (Lionsgate) is now OOP.
