These are the lousy critics we have over here.
I was gonna post his RT review summary line but decided it wasn't worth my time. Now that you posted how he scored other films, I almost want to dig and see how much of a hack he is.

Exactly.

I try to respect other people's taste in film but sometimes no, just no...

No problem in liking TASM2 more than the Avengers film but to say it's a better movie or film? Nope...

I'll be seeing JW this Sunday and am looking forward to it. The silly and ridiculous comment a lot of people and critics are making, about it not being as good as the original or unnecessary. Of course it's not as good, only way a new JP would be as good if not better is if they adapted the book perfectly, but then again that would only be for fans of the books. It would probably still lack the charm the original has.

I'm just hoping it's better than JP2 and JP3.

I keep hearing that the 3D isn't necessary, but if you're gonna do it, go for IMAX 3D.

Personally, I might just go standard first, then IMAX 3D afterwards.

I'm going GTX and then maybe IMAX 3D if I really like it.

I just think he has a major pick with the good big budget Hollywood productions.

Dawn of the Planet of the Apes a 2/5. Prometheus also a 2/5, Avengers a 2/5.

Oh but get this one, he rated Project X a 4/4 And I kid you not.

I really liked TASM but the sequel just had too many problems with it. Only thing it was missing was a Raimi/McGuire dance scene.

I am taking my teenager with me who has not watched the original trilogy. Would you suggest we binge watch the originals first or does this new movie not tie into them.

my apologies in advance if this has been mentioned but I just read through about 30 pages and couldnt find my answer.

You only need to watch the first one. This movie basically ignores the second and third movies.

It's a sequel to all three previous movies, but most directly connected to the original. I'd say to at least watch the first one, you're bound to get more out of Jurassic World that way.

I'll be catching a late night showing tonight, I'm so excited. I was planning on seeing this with a friend but all he does is work so I'm not waiting on him like I did in the past.

I watched Jurassic Park last night for the first time in about 10 years, I completely forgot how amazing it was. I'll be watching The Lost World tonight before Jurassic World just because I haven't seen that in a long time either.
