Movies Anywhere is a digital locker and digital storefront. Fandango is a digital storefront. Neither of these have a recurring monthly cost.

The others that you named add up to about $65 per month total (assuming ad-free plans) and, yes, that is cheap. It's cheaper than most cable packages and it's cheaper than buying discs, but with the latter you get superior quality and you actually own something.

There is no such thing as "disc quality streaming"; that is an objective fact. Kaleidescape is a download service; it has nothing to do with streaming.

"Etiquette" is not a synonym for adequate and, unlike you, most of us would not settle for just adequate quality. As to quality, you obviously are no judge of it:

Streaming is such low quality that you do not need fiber internet.

4K streaming's video bitrates of 15-30 Mbps do not require much internet bandwidth at all and far less than that for HD streaming. The lowest coax cable internet service tier easily exceeds the requirements for streaming's anemic needs.

Again, why are you here talking about disc players when you do not use them and you do not care one damn bit about them? You are just here to gloat and aggravate people that do care about disc players.

Here is a little reminder for you from some of the times that you got carried away with your trolling:

https://forum.blu-ray.com/showpost.p...ostcount=24583

Even Moderators have quoted you in the act of trolling and did you learn anything from the consequences? Apparently not. Not to worry; I am sure that they can offer you a refresher course if you keep it up.

Nope, just sensible. I have three sources to play 3D discs too, with access to 3DFA’s ever impressive catalogue and future releases. It makes sense to protect one’s investments.

Carry on with your streaming and headphones.

And just like that, my Gruv order was delivered yesterday. Talk about super service. Of course, I did choose to pay a little extra for fed ex delivery over the free shipping option, but still.

[Show spoiler]Four years ago today I went to the emergency room with what I thought was a digestive problem never suspecting that it was only the beginning of something much more serious. 10 surgeries and well over 200 appointments later brings me to this anniversary and the beginning of my final challenge.

Today is also one month since the implantation of my biventricular pacemaker; I still have 12 more days of post-op restrictions and I will be so glad when I get past them.

I saw my primary cardiologist on May 7th with my good friend and chauffeur as a witness to the conversation. My doctor told me that there is nothing more that he can do for me and that I am already getting every treatment that is available. He said that I need a heart transplant and probably the liver also. Transplantation is the only option left to me. It is worth noting that my neurologist does not agree that I need a liver transplant.

My main cardiologist is turning my care over to a transplant cardiologist whom I have seen twice before. I will be seeing my transplant cardiologist on June 5th and he is putting me back on the treadmill for another cardiac stress test (CPET). The test is riskier for me now as I have a high degree atrial-ventricular block, which is considered a relative contraindication for a CPET test.

The CPET test is just one of many tests that determine if a patient is a candidate for a heart transplant. The qualification process just to get on the transplant list is daunting both medically and financially, but my June 5th appointment is the first step of very many towards that objective.

My transplant cardiologist is also of the opinion that I need a double transplant and that only compounds the complexity and difficulty of it actually happening.

After these long and unimaginably difficult four years it has come to this. I need a heart transplant and maybe a liver transplant, too. It is the only option left to me and not a very easy one to accomplish. All I can do is try and we all know just how trying I can be.
I know I keep saying it, but God bless you Vilya. You're a good dude and a credit to the human race, which is more than I can say about myself. Stay strong and take care.

Seems like it, adoption of it is easier than ever. Most new tv's have all the apps built in and ready to go. There is also a bundle war getting ready to start.

It’s not the future, it’s the now. It’s cable 2.0.

AVPro Global Acquires RTI Control (Remote Technologies Inc.) (here).

I understand Logitech has now stopped support of some of their older remotes. I am glad that URC continues to update CCP database. I do feel sorry for the URC users that failed to get URC sign in credentials. The days of DIY wand programmable remotes seems to be coming to an end.

The Future Is Clear

It's good to stream once in a while to remind you how much better high bit rate video and lossless audio really is.

Thankfully I'm marked safe from the upcoming Bundle War and push to AD supported video services. I could not care less about online video I may tune in when I'm tired or for TV series that I'm only slightly interested in keeping up with.

Would not the future of a product be dependent on the adoption rate of the masses?

Maybe. Time will tell I guess. Future is always a bit tricky. Thankfully there are many great releases on UHD BD every week.

The masses could be up to 84% asses. It doesn't help that Sony put out a couple of fairly defective players that were very popular. If people try a good player they could become interested particularly as Steaming gets junkier by the minute with a push toward Ad based services and weekly price hikes.

Was there not data released before that said people do not care about ads, just the price of the service. I mean TUBI seems to be very popular.
