PM-ed the dark at bertbuy with hmv for $26.19 nice slipcover, shiny, red lettering and artwork, at the same time creepy the eyes and hands on second thought, creepy film in general also nice slip for contagion bb nor hmv had shark night in stock not even listed in futurestop's nor bb sites.

I received one of my Boxing day order from FS today. It was 3 Harry Potter SteelBooks. All Friggin dented! The split shipped my order and they packed it in a stupid bubbled plastic envelope!

I found the most efficient way to let you know of their terrible service is to post the situation on their facebook page. I have some issues with them on the Hang Over Steelbook order (they never send me the monkey) and I called their CS line 4 times and no one do a thing but ask me to keep waiting... I got upset and posted on their FB wall how upset I was, and they contacted me within the day and someone replied me personally on the matter at least.... try that out.

On the same note, they started shipping stuff in white, floppy bubble envelope instead of the sturdy brown envelopes. I got 2 steelbooks that way too, and luckily they arrived OK, but I do not see most orders surviving such packing.

What I was told is the 'regular' channels go to a third party who isn't empowered to do much and whose mission is to insulate Best Buy management from real world customers and issues.

The social media channels are the flavor of the day, staffed by actual company employees who have an interest in suppressing bad publicity and doing damage control. So your strategy makes sense. In my case, I'm not going to go on facebook and 'like' some inanimate corporation just so I can communicate with them. If tradeoff for good service is my integrity, I'll stick with the basic bad service.

There's not much I can do now. I just hope in store has all the titles in stock for exchanging.

as dumb as it sounds, i really wanted that plush money toy thingi. i bought 2 copies of hangover 2 steel and never got it. in store said plush was only for online pre-orders. but i wasnt going to risk having it show up dented.

I also preordered the steelbook and did not get the monkey. I have emailed them 6 times so far. The first couple emails they replied and told me that it was shipped and I should get it soon. Then they told me that it was not shipped and they would ship it soon, and now they are ignoring my emails. Can't believe how crappy their customer service is.

i ordered 2 copies of the steelbook and got 1 monkey i emailed them and they said it should come it never did

but i heard it was limited to like 150 of them and there like 80$ on ebay

and no, I never get a monkey. The FB rep replied and told me that the monkeys are all gone so she cannot replace me one. They offered me a $10 gift card instead for the trouble... better than nothing....I guess...

It was limited to 145, so I'm sure not every pre-order actually got the thing. I'd be a little pissed if I was supposed to get it too, even though I don't know what I'd actually do with the thing.

Bingo. I got one and was pretty happy to get it, but honestly don't know what to do with it.

I sent an email through their forums and was replied to the same day. They told me it would arrive within a week and it did.

Just reminding everyone that FS and BB should both now be PMing. Most of the BD prices should still be active, though a lot end today or on the 8th, so there's not much time.

Keep in mind that the online availability isn't working, which may actually end up working in your favor. In any case, make sure you have some time on your hands, because they're likely going to have to check stock over the phone by hand.

Thanks for the posts guys - based on the above, I managed to snag SAW - The Final Chapter BD/DVD/Digital Copy combo at BB for $5.89 after price match (with WM) and taxes. Haven't seen it yet (frankly, I stopped watching this series after SAW III since it was really getting ridiculous), but for under $6 for the BD combo, I couldn't resist....

Received more FS shippments. = more dented SteelBooKs. Got Scarface from BB today too. BB ships it out the same way FS does. In those stupid Bubble envelopes. Got a little ding on scarface. I guess I`ll live with the little ding. But the FS stuff are all going back.
