Well I finally got the glasses back on and checked out Book of Life for Halloween. It was refreshing to see such a visual treat in 3D and have the story and sound also be captivating. Recommend a buy for this one.

I have still to watch this as well.

Watched Jurassic World. Loved every minute of it. Thought it was a great movie and the 3D was solid and just made the viewing experience that much more enjoyable. Cant wait to watch this again on the Sony.

Glad you enjoyed it. For me it's the best film of the year.

Watched San Andreas.

Enjoyable movie. 3D quality was very good with excellent depth in most scenes. The 7.1 soundtrack was fantastic and came with an incredible amount of base.

Yesterday I got Rodencia und der Zahn der Prinzessin (aka A Mouse Tale) and 3-Headed Shark Attack (both via Amazon.de) so in preparation for watching the latter I watched 2-Headed Shark Attack, which I have on the same disc as Sharknado.

The 3D conversion is a typical German autoconversion, i.e. no pop-out and minimal depth, everything is just pushed back into the screen a little. The film was more entertaining than I remembered, with amusing practical effects as well as the standard terrible CGI (this is an Asylum movie) - plus the cast are in bikinis the whole time so it's a movie that's very easy to watch. 3-Headed Shark Attack has the same director so I hope it's just as good/bad...

Got Inside Out (Best Buy exclusive version) yesterday. Going to watch it this weekend. This will be the first 3D viewing, saw it in 2D in theaters.

I just watched the 3D theatrical cut and actually had a freakin' blast. Will get around to watching the 2D extended at some point.

Just bought:

I have to say, it was exciting to see the Disney 3D logo on the side of the slipcover on a U.S. release. Can't wait for The Good Dinosaur and then Episode VII.

So I watched 3 Headed Shark Attack in 3D, once again a standard German autoconversion with everything just pushed a little back – zero pop and minimal depth. Occasionally, when the camera angle was just right, I felt there was a hint of 3D but that might just have been wishful thinking.

The film itself is so bad that it makes 2-Headed Shark Attack look like Jaws. There’s no gratuitous nudity this time, and more GGI and less practical effects. The shark attacks defy all the laws of physics and nature. The characters behave in the most idiotic manner possible. The cast features a number of obvious non-actors and Danny Trejo has barely any screen time. Awful.

Watched Hansel and Gretel - Witch Hunters just now. ALL 3D should at least be up to this standard. Extremely well done, great fun. I myself would have pushed it even farther, but that is just personal taste. Overall very enjoyably. Watch this and tell me 95% of 3D aren't poor!

I watched Terminator Genisys in 3D, having previously seen it in 2D, and while I still have problems with the film itself (the casting, the rating, the smiling, the plot) I have to say that I thought the 3D conversion was magnificent.

It's probably the standout conversion of the year for me so far, it has it all - consistent appreciable depth and plenty of glorious pop-outs, with a nice in-your-face T-1000 moment taking me by surprise. I love big budget special effects movies in 3D and this one is proper A-grade stuff - I'll never watch the movie in 2D again, that's for sure.

Just finished watching The Book Of Life in 3D, it reminded me a bit of The Boxtrolls in that it looked beautifully three dimensional without really popping out of the screen (though there were a few nice moments that did utilise the negative parallax).

Not up to nWave or Dreamworks standards, but very pretty all the same, and undeniably superior to 2D.

Just watched, would have liked to have seen a sequel to this, movie grows on me each time I watch it.

Watched Poltergeist and Hansel and Gretel last night. I liked both of them. I thought Hansel and Gretel had stronger 3D than Poltergeist.

Me as well and it has Maggie Q in 3D which is a big plus for me.

Hansel and Gretel's stronger 3D is a persistent strength hybrid film, both native-3D and half post-converted to match the native strength.
Forest scenes required the lighter 2D rigs instead of the costlier manpower needed for bulkier, cumbersome 3D equipment.
